TV's in Rooms

We are 1st time cruisers (next year) and have booked a catagory 8 room. Can anyone tell me how many televisions there are in the room? Is there a TV on the bed side of the privacy divider? DS, age 5, will be sleeping on the sofa.

The TV is on the sofa side of the divider but can swivel so you can see it from the bed if you have the privacy curtain open. There is only one TV in the cabin.

OK. Here is ( I think) an unusual question. TV is like a drug to my wife so she is going to want to watch after DS goes to sleep. She will also not want the light from the TV to bother the boy. Has anyone ever had DCL swap the couch and bed so that the couch is behind the privacy divider?

Cannot swap the couch and bed. They will remain where they are in the room.

We like our T.V. too and our child can't fall asleep with it on, but it was no problem on the cruise. They were so tired that they would fall asleep while we were still going over the days events. Once they are out--they are out!

Both of our boys slept very soundly when we watched TV at night. We were able to swivel the TV quite a ways so that they practically couldn't even see the screen.

As I remember the tv is just on the couch side of the divider. What we did was pull the divider and somehow drap the divider curtain on the other side of the tv. So the tv was pointing at the bed with the divider on the couch side so the kids weren't bothered by it. I'm not sure what we used to attach the divider to the other side of the TV. May binder clibs or clothes pins would work. Anybody else do this?

I hope this doesn't sound stupid, we haven't taken our first cruise yet, but what do you watch on TV? Does it get a satellite signal or does is just play on board entertainment? Just curious, I assumed we wouldn't be watching TV all week.

They do have satellite, but if the weather gets bad it can drop out. CNN Headline News, ESPN2 were among the channels, plus channels with Disney movies, a channel with current weather on the ship (you'd be surprised how often we watched that) a channel with shopping tips in ports, and shore excusions.
