Who here agrees with that sentiment?
"Halo" and "Foundation" were generic. "Strange New Worlds" and "Ahsoka" are enjoyable but set in familiar worlds.
How about something new and exciting?
Something with action, adventure, and mystery but set in an world that is optimistic enough that it is considered a better world our own world.
I guess society is too cynical to be interested in that kind of fiction and that Hollywood seems to be more risk averse with the current economic situation.
