Tutto italia refurb news.

I know many of us have been wondering when and if Tutto italia will be closing down for refurb as many of the unofficial sites have stated. The official disney site has finally given us some information.

I got this info from the official site under my disney vacation in the backstage pass section. There is an article about tutto italia and the very last paragraph states that by next year, tutto italia will be completely remodeled and have new decor, a show kitchen, an outside facility for quick service and pizza and a new name.

Previous reports have stated that this would all have been done by fall of 2008, but apparently, this is not the case. So, it makes me wonder when they will actually shut down the restaurant and begin work. I wonder if we will all have to cancel our tutto italia ADR's for something else just like they did with Garden Grill and LTT. I know I'm going to keep my ears open for new info about this in case they decide to shut it down when I have my ADR.

It makes me wonder if that's just the original press release. It sounds just like it although I can't remember if pizza was mentioned originally.

Thanks, I found it. I enjoyed the review. It does sound like new info even though it is basically the same thing that was said last year.

We really enjoy Tutto and I hope it's not closed for long.

When we ate there this past April, the CM mentioned the remodel to us and that they would close in fall '08 - but I just booked our ADR there for mid January and asked the CM - he said no - I really hope to enjoy another great meal here!!

I'm booked for December 6th so I'm hoping the refurb won't start until at least sometime in 2009. Hopefully, those with ADR's will get to go there and then they will cut off ADR's after a certain date. I'm hoping they won't dissappoint everyone and just call and say we have to eat somewhere else at the last minute.
