Well, we had a great trip, despite the extremely hot and rainy weather, and I wanted to share my impressions of these two dining experiences we had.

We had a late lunch at Tutto Italia on Friday, and we loved it :yay:! A lovely restaurant, the tables aren't crammed together like at most TS places, and the service was pleasant and efficient. The food was excellent!

For my main course, I had the antipasto platter, which was fresh, varied and delicious - my only complaint was that there was quite a lot of mortadella, which I'm not that fond of. We also enjoyed Farfalle - Bowtie pasta, Italian prosciutto ham, peas, and Parmesian cream. My DS is a BIG cream sauce fan :lovestruc, and said this was one of the most delicious he's ever had. My DD had a breaded chicken cutlet, rather like a chicken parm, but so much better - it came over roasted potatoes and sauteed Swiss chard, which we had never had, but we all totally loved it !:

I ordered a side dish (and by the way, all of them were $5, which I thought was a very reasonable price!). I originally ordered the asparagus, but they didn't have enough for a full order, so our server suggested the mixed grilled vegetables - I was VERY happy with this!

The olives, olive oil and bread on the table before the meal were quite delicious, as well. Lunch (with a glass of wine for me) was around $100, which IS a lot, but we all agreed that it was truly a lunch worth budgeting for!

Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the Wishes Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace . I didn't take any pictures, because it just wasn't special enough to warrent it. I had to speak to the manager before we were even sat, because despite my calls and assurances that my parents wheelchairs would merit some special location, when I got there, I asked to see the floor plan, and they literally assigned them to a table BEHIND the buffet line. So that was how we started. The night was very hot, which of course didn't help appetites. The desserts were fine, nothing very special, frankly. There was NO milk for the coffee, only non dairy creamers. There was plenty of everything, which was nice, but the whole thing felt VERY rushed. And the view, while nice, wasn't any better than it would have been had we staked out a place on Main Street - as I was afraid, people crowded to the railing, and if my DS and DD hadn't stood up, blocked some space and stood firm, my parents would have only seen people's backs and the fireworks over the heads. There was a 'glitch' during the show, and it stopped right after Tinker Bell flew over, and an announcement came over the loudspeakers that the show was cancelled due, which was quite deflating! We lingered a bit to allow the crowds to die down, and then they made another announcement that the fireworks were just delayed. We waited another 15 minutes or so, and they resumed, but you could tell they were missing something.

If the weather was cooler, or if you really don't want to watch the show from the crowd on Main Street, or if you really, really like desserts, this is a nice thing, but we won't be doing it again. On the other hand, we came back the next night to see the fireworks show from the beginning, and we LOVED it - we realized that we missed a BIG part of the show the night before, so we were very glad to see the whole thing.

Thanks for reading!
