Tusker or flame tree?

have eaten at both. always return to tusker house. just a better selection and of course those wonderful cinnamon rolls!!

Big advantage to Flame Tree is that there are lots of outdoor tables behind the counter area , many are shaded right near the water so there's a peaceful view a little quieter and a definite good break - oh, by the way, awesome fried onions!

We found the Tusker House to be outstanding! The rotissierie (sp???) chicken was MOST yummy! An overall good deal for the $$

They both have good food! We love Tusker House when we are in the mood for "normal" food (is that really a green bean!?!?!?!), but Flame Tree has excellent sandwiches and fries. The outdoor seating at Flame Tree is lovely, but when we eat at Tusker House, we walk outside and eat our meals at tables at the Dawa Bar (of course, getting a Safari Amber beer to go with!). It is awesome when the acrobats start a show and you are right there!

the salmon at Tusker House was wonderful. Haven't eaten at Flame Tree.

we've eaten at both. on our first visit, tusker house had some kind of peanut crusted chicken was excellent but on a later visit it was no longer on the menu. the menu was less interesting without the chicken. but the theming at tusker house is excellent.

we tried flametree for the first time on our last visit (last week) and really enjoyed the food and especially the eating areas down by the river.

so i'd say both have good food, tusker house has better theming, flametree has better outdoor eating areas. on our next visit we'll probably go back to flametree.

While at AK in August we ate at the Tusker House. The food was very good, a great value (we used the meal plus certificates). We enjoyed the atmosphere and because it was so hot outdoors it was nice to eat inside. I haven't tried the Flame Tree though.

Love the Flame Tree. When you go by it, it looks like there is no seating, but that is because all the seating is behind the building in a really lovely spot.

The Barbeque Chicken Salad is really good! I have to get it every time we go to AK.

I love Tusker House! Flame tree is good also but Tusker house is one of my favorite places in the world to eat.

i have only tried tusker house but really enjoyed it. i was lucky enough to be there when an african musician came strolling through and entertained us. it was a lot of fun.

I've eaten at both a few times with my family. Personally, I prefer Tusker House. the choices were much more interesting. My Dh and my younger son loved the ribs at Flame Tree. I don't think you can go wrong at either

We've only tried Flame Tree & really enjoyed it. Where is the Tusker House? Is it sit down or counter service?

I've eaten at both and although I wasn't very impressed with the food at either, I'd definitely prefer Flametree for the atmosphere. I loved those outdoor pavillions down by the river. Although I wonder how they'd be when it's super hot out?

Hot, but you've got the shade of the trees and the pavillions have ceiling fans. I love it down there.
