Tusker House timing- opinions please?

Hi all,
Yesterday just hit day 180 for our September trip. Like many others, ran into the Tusker House website glitches, so was able to get all ADRs I wanted except for that one. Today I ended up calling and getting a 9:25am spot (was hoping for closer to 8:00). AK opens at 8am on the day we'll be there... so my question is, if we aim to arrive at the park by rope drop, will we have time for the Safari ride before our 9:25 reservation? This is our first family trip to Disney... I've been before as a kid, but this will be my first time as a parent with kids of my own. And my first trip to AK, so not sure about the timing. TIA!

Thank you for asking. I was just about to ask for our October trip! I was hoping to book an early time too, and then do the safari. Just trying to figure out how best to arrange this.

Part of me thinks maybe this will be a better plan for us... this will be the first day of my kids' first trip to Disney... they may be too excited to eat right away! Maybe getting one ride in first will pacify them and they'll be more apt to eat??

Yes! The line won't be that long for the Safari at RD. And Tusker house is a short walk from the Safari exit. You'll probably have time to quickly go through the walking trail at the exit of the safari as well.

We usually shoot for 10:45. We get in the Safari, maybe the trail, and the 10am Lion King show.
