We want to make sure that we see Mickey. Are Tusker House and Chef Mickey the same price for breakfast? I like all of the charachters at Chef Mickey, but I like the idea of eating early and then already being at Animal Kingdom to do the rides and not take time out of our busy ride schedule(kids are 10 and 12).
Anybody have opinions on which is better?

We did both in June, and if I remember correctly, Tusker House was cheaper. And, you are already at AK, so I would not change it for CM. You can walk right our of Tusker House and onto the Safari Ride. We had reservations at 8 before RD at 9, were able to eat breakfast, and 1st in line for Safari Ride. Then, we walked right back on the ride without waiting.

Sounds like a great plan. I will also try to book an 8:00 breakfast so we can hit the 9:00 RD.:woohoo:

If you are in AK already I would go with Tusker House (good food, great coffee and juice...wonderful character interaction and a musical parade)...my son loves it. No lines to get the food (the least hectic buffet we have went to)

We ate at Tusker House last visit and loved it. It was great to get in before the park opened too. The food was good and the characters were great. A little crammed in there, but we had a good time as did our kids.

My girlfriend and I did both of these back in May. They are both pretty equal for us, but TH gets the edge because of the ability to get into AK early. It is a great chance to get some pictures of the tree without too many people in the way. AK is probably our second favorite park after EC. There is a lot of beauty to appreciate there and its a little easier to appreciate some of it without the crowd.

If anyone in your party has a weaker tummy, I would advise to pick up a FP for the KS after your meal instead of jumping right on it. The safari can get a little jumpy and I have heard some stories about people going on KS right after TH breakfast and to make a long story short, they ended up pretty hungry again after getting off KS... if you catch my drift.

We haven't eaten at CM's, but we have eaten at Tusker and we all loved everything about it! The character interaction was wonderful, the parade around the restaurant was alot of fun and the food was great too. Being in the park is a huge plus.

We love the Tusker House! Mickey was not there when we went in August. If you want to see Mickey, he is always at "Ohana, another one of our favorites.

My vote is for Tusker House, the kids enjoyed seeing the characters in safari outifts. They both loved the juice there, food is basic buffet. Character intereaction was much better at Tusker House. Kids felt very rushed at Chef Mickey!
