Tusker House or Boma?

looking to figure out where to eat when we hit the AK.

we love tusker house for breakfast! but not sure if you are wanting breakfast or another meal for the day......

Not sure if OP knows but Boma is at AKL, not at the park. It might not matter.

For breakfast, we prefer Tusker for the food. It has some interesting items that are non-traditional breakfast foods and since I don't like traditional breakfast foods very much, it appeals more. Boma does have an excellent breakfast menu and it's definitely quieter and less chaotic than the Tusker character breakfast.

For dinner, we prefer Boma.

You don't mention which meal you are planning, but Boma only serves breakfast and dinner while Tusker House serves all three. Also, Tusker House is a character meal for breakfast.

As the PP said, Boma is at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, not the Animal Kingdom park. You will need to leave the AK and take a bus to the AKL if you want to go to Boma. The AKL is a beautiful place so a visit there might be a nice way to end your AK day.

If you are planning for breakfast I'd only go to Boma if you have your own car. Getting there with Disney transportation will be more time consuming, making the start to your AK day later. I'd just go to Tusker House instead.

So, my advice is Tusker House if you want breakfast or lunch and Boma if you want dinner.

we are staying at Disney (yes, I know that Boma is at AKL..thought about hitting there after AK).

That gives me some options!

Boma is a little more ethnic in flavors than Tusker House. You'll find more "regular food" at Tusker House.

I love them both, but Boma is my fav for dinner. Enjoy wherever you go!!

If you are looking for lunch go for Tusker.
If you are looking for dinner go to Boma after leaving the park for the day.

boma is just plain awesome for breakfast and dinner, but i favor breakfast the most. they have soooo many breakfast foods and their pastry bars is incredible. dinner is geared towards african, i am a very picky eater and i loved it.

we been to both and love both...but I would recommend Tusker House b/c its in AK and they have characters (not sure if you have kids)...food are almost similar. Which ever you chose, you will like it. Enjoy
