I honestly can't decide, and when I think I have decided, I change my mind. Not sure why this is so hard, LOL.

Well, I want to go to Boma to see the AKL, and I want to go to Tusker House because it's our AK day and for the characters. Is the food similar?

Should I consider ditching Chef Mickey's for dinner, and go to Boma instead? Then we could go to TH on our AK day and we'll get to do both. Only that won't exactly be as convenient since CM will be on a MK day, kwim? Just thinking that if we see those characters at TH, we won't need to see them at CM.

Thoughts? TIA

If I were staying at AKL I would do Boma for breakfast before a park. If not I would do TH.

We have TH bf and Boma dinner planned on AK day. I have Boma bf planned for our rest day (hoping to do a late one) because there is just no way I will be able to convince DH to do that much running around before park opening. Or my kids for that matter. We like to hit AK at RP because of the safari and because the park just gets so warm later in the day.

We just love TH!!! Never been to Boma but I have to go after hearing the reviews on here!

We are staying at AKL and will be doing breakfast at Tusker House and Crystal Palace with a pre-park opening ADR at 8am. We love the early in park ADRS.

Also Boma is amazing for Dinner. if you haven't tried dinner there I recommend it highly.

I am having the same debate. Currently my ADR is at TH because are only spending one day in AK. I would love advice on food though.

I would definitely try Boma for at least one meal. I am a big fan of both breakfast and dinner. They have a great selection, and I think the food is a better quality and more interesting than most buffets at Disney.

I'm not sure how early you are willing to get up in the morning, but we went to Boma for a 7:30 ADR, ate leisurely, and made it to Epcot in time for rope drop. Although I have never been to Tusker House for breakfast, I was pleased with the offerings they had for lunch. The only thing that was disappointing was the service from our waiter (and I'm a waitress, so I usually cut them a lot of slack), but that can happen anywhere really so it wouldn't deter me from going back. Despite that, it's the only place my mom specifically asked to go back to for our upcoming trip.

My family and I ended up w/ a table service credit left on our vacation and we ended up eating at Boma's for breakfast. It was GREAT! The juice is very tasty and unique, as are the selections. I asked for the juice recipe and they gave it to me.:yay: We are going back in June and will do breakfast there again. It was especially nice b/c we were staying at ASM and it gave us a chance to see the AKL and the animals on the verandas. I would definitely tell you to do it!

My family and I have been to Boma for breakfast many times. We went there for breakfast on our last trip (Jan 2010) and were a bit disappointed. We noticed many of our favorite itmes were missing and cutbacks were fairly evident. Also the service was not as good as it had been.

In fairness, had it been our first time at Boma, it probably would have been fine.

We also like to go to Tusker house, but have never been there for breakfast. We had Lunch at the Tusker House on our last trip and were very pleased - it was as good as it had always been.

Don't know if any of this is helpful, but I thought I'd share. Enjoy your trip!

Tusker House was our favorite character breakfast out of 6 on our trip in December. The buffet has tons of choices and the food was great.

It's also great being in Animal Kingdom before everyone else gets there. The walk back to the restaurant was so peaceful with nobody else around. It's also nice being so close to the safari ride entrance. If your ADR is early enough you can be one of the first on the ride. If you ADR is later, you can send someone to grab fast passes at 9am when the park opens and get on the safari ride without much wait when you finish your breakfast.

We loved this breakfast and it will be on our "to do" list from here on out.

We have never been to Boma so I can't speak of it. We did try Tusker House for it's lunch buffet and it was wonderful.

Enjoy your trip.
