We're going over spring break, and are trying to decide which of these three to pick for our AK day.

We've been to Tusker for lunch (18 months ago) and we all liked it. We've never been to AKL; we will have a car this trip. We'd go either for lunch or dinner. We don't eat beef or pork. We'll be travelling with our 8 and 10 year old daughters. The 8 year old will pick at chicken nuggets or mac and cheese (which is why we hesitate a little at Boma $20 seems pretty steep for her), and our other daughter is only slightly more adventurous.

(I'm editing this to add that both of our daughters are seasoned diners when it comes to behavior; we take them often to restaurants if there's something suitably bland on the menu, so I see Jiko as less of an issue than Boma...we'd consider Boma if it's so wonderful we won't cringe at paying $20 for a scoop of mac and cheese for our youngest. Also, Unofficial Guide didn't give Tusker House a very good review, which is what made us question...we liked it before, has it changed in quality in 18 months?)

with your self imposed restrictions.., stick with Tusker house.

Jiko is very upscale and elegant/refiend cuisine and Boma has more exotic tastes.

I would say tusker house would be the best option. We went to Tusker house and Boma and we much prefered the atmosphere and food at tusker house.

Boma we found to be very loud and the choice of food was not near what we were expecting. Flavour wise some of it was ok but we would not go back as it was just meh.

I will add the we did tusker house for breakfast and it won out over crystal palace for food options and CP is one of our favoruite places.

We have done Tusker House and Boma for breakfast and love both. At breakfast Tusker has very good character interaction. Food at both is good. We took DD to Boma when she was 3 and she loved it. They had carved to order ham and lots of fruit (that right there guarantees success with my daughter) and a rotisserie turkey that is hands down my favorite buffet food at WDW.
