Tusker house Dinner

How does the tusker house dinner compare with Boma for dinner???? Are there many differences??? Also we have reservations for shortly before the park closes has anyone ever been able to walk out of the park after closing? Is it neat to be leaving with not many people around? Thanks!

The most common comparison I've heard is that Tusker House is "Boma Light." Tusker has fewer stations and selections and I don't think has any soups at all. Tusker's offerings are African/Asian/Middle Eastern influenced, but are a bit more subtle than some of the items at Boma.

Both are excellent restaurants and are always on my family's "to do" list. I could have a whole meal just of Boma's soups (Carrot Ginger, Mulligatawny, Seafood Stew) and the spices and sauces with the roasted meats have a great kick to them. Tusker House has wonderful salads and marinated veggies and delicious roasted meats. The samosas and curried tofu is great, too.

Boma is a great place to visit because you can check out the AKL. Tusker is convenient if you want to stay in the Park.

I would also classify Tusker as Boma Light. They have similar choices but not as many. both have their flavors toned down for the American pallet. I've eaten at African restaurants in many cities and the food us usually more spiced than either Boma or TH so even the pickier eaters should enjoy it.

Boma is my favorite WDW restaurant and I think Tusker is a good alternative if you are in AK and want to eat. If it were a choice between the two I would just go to Boma though.
