Tusker House Character Lunch

Has anyone been to lunch at Tusker House since it changed over to a character meal? Is the menu the same as it was pre-characters? How much has the price increased? I'm having trouble finding information on it. Thanks in advance!

I had lunch there in December after it was switched over to a character meal. The buffet has all of the same items as before - so no changes there. The price has went up. I don't remember the exact price, but it went up about $6 when they switched to a character lunch - I'm guessing it's around $26 or $27 now. I think it was around $20 before the switch. Before the characters, it was probably the best value for a buffet. My kids are grown, but we like Tusker House so much that we will continue eating there even with the price increase.

Thanks for the info carol-lamb. We are planning on eating here for lunch on our next trip but wasn't sure how much it is now with the characters. I've tried looking for the info on multiple websites but they kept showing the price before the characters were added.

I had the same prob when searching for lunch buffet prices. It always showed the old prices, before characters. But i asked about the price on this board a few days ago and someone told me it was now $28.99 at lunch for adults.

We were there at the end of January and that sounds about right. Maybe a little less.

My only issue with the character lunch is that now the place isn't nearly as relaxing to eat as it was before. It has turned into Chef Mickey with kids parading around, and a LOT of noise. Much as we love the food at Tusker House, I think we'll be eating more often at Yak n Yeti from now on just to avoid the noise levels at Tusker. My DH and I couldn't really even have a conversation at lunch without yelling to each other, it was that bad.

thanks for the honest review of the lunch! We really love the food there so we will stick with the dinner buffet (NO characters)

The current official Times Guide shows the lunch hours as beginning at 11:30, and breakfast ending at 10:55.

The thing is, we have an ADR this Saturday for 11:15. Anyone have any recent experience with early lunch reservations?

We used to love this lunch - great food, great location, great price for lunch. With the addition of the characters the lunch price has gone up and I don't know if we will still go there. We would do a late lunch and this would keep us full for the rest of the day - with a great snack later in the day.

Do they cl;ose in between or is it like Crystal palace and they just change out the food. Could we sit at 10:30 and have both types of food?
