We have dined at Tusker House before and have enjoyed their lunch.

We are going in June and have only been planning for a few months. I've been slowly finding ADRs as I go. Today I tried to find a reservation for Tusker House and found one for 10:45am. I have heard about the switch over from breakfast to lunch and that this time for a reservation would have us there during the switch.

Has anyone experienced this? Is breakfast still fresh? Did you feel rushed? Did you end up eating both breakfast and lunch items?
TIA

We had the opposite last week - an 11:20 lunch. There were still some breakfast items out. I actually grabbed a Mickey waffle and it was delicious! By about halfway through our meal, it was completely switched over to lunch.

I have done 10:45 before. It's a fairly slow transission so if your heart is set on only the lunch food, you'll need to stall. By the time you are seating and drink orders are filled, they should be starting to switch over. I found that as the breakfast food either got down to near nothing or it was looking kind of old, they replaced it with lunch options.

We've done breakfast / lunch time before and it's fabulous. Everything is still fresh, transition is slowly done, and you'll get the best of both worlds. Enjoy!

We did this by accident with one of our past resis there. Yes, our kids ate breakfast and then the server told us to wait a few minutes and lunch would be out. We were not rushed and we had the best of both worlds! :thumbsup2

we did the same, were there for breakfast and switchover to lunch. if we go again next trip, we will shoot for this time. best of both worlds and no noticeable difference in the quality of food for breakfast at all!

When my family goes to Tusker House we always book the last breakfast so we can try the breakfast items and get a sample of the lunch items. When lunch starts they will typically move the breakfast items to one location as they start bringing out the lunch items.

This is very accurate. The transition is soooooo slow that sometimes it is hard to figure out what you'll get at any times during the 10 o'clock hour. I recall 1045 ADR that still had about 90% breakfast out, however a 1015 ADR that was pretty quickly at the 50/50 mark. I think the early 11 o'clock hour is more of a guarantee that you will get the best of both worlds, but that is just my experience. And yes, I feel that down to the last minute, the breakfast offerings were still fresh.

We were there last week. We had an 1130 ADR and checked in a little earlier than that. They still had some breakfast out when we first got there. I have to wait for a chef to show me around the buffet and it was closer to 1145-1150 by the time I got to the buffet and it was basically all lunch by that time.
