Tusker House breakfast/lunch lately

How is Tusker House breakfast these days? Is it still possible to book a breakfast ressie that bleeds over into lunch time? Would consider spending the money for a meal if I could perhaps try both breakfast and lunch.

(I’m a solo traveler who generally eats oatmeal in her hotel room on park days, so would need a compelling reason to spend the money for the big meal.).

What can you tell me about the ease of booking, the value, and whether this is a must do for you?

We did the breakfast/lunch combo and I LOVED that. We did a 10:40 reservation and got to sample both meals. The food was very good!! Now, I know you said recently and out trip wasn't that recent, but I know the timing part still works!

I don't know what you consider recent but Tusker House was a surprise standout for us on our trip six months ago. I got a same day reservation for a group of 6, so I would think that you could get a walk-up spot fairly easily as a solo. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the food. I would definitely try it again and recommend it based on our experience last trip.

Worked perfectly a month ago with a 10:20 res. Breakfast is great for a character meal but the lunch is a standout. Together there's no better character meal deal in Disney.

Would love to do the breakfast/lunch combo at Tusker House. The posted breakfast hours end at 10:30am with lunch starting at 11am. So does that mean that breakfast food will be out up until 11am? Trying to decide when is the optimal time to make our ADR's. 10:20?

Yes definitely. Plenty of breakfast available even as they begin lunch service. They have a little area where they consolidate breakfast. But once lunch starts you're going to forget all about breakfast. It really is a great value to get both! The food is, to me anyway, is closer to Boma quality than let's say one of the lesser AYCTE character meals like a Hollywood and Vine or Ohana breakfast or Chef Mickeys.

Yes, you can still book a late breakfast that transitions into lunch. TBH, though, Tusker Housed used to be a favorite of ours, but I wasn't as impressed with the offerings last time. It's probably just me though.

Does this "breakfast/lunch" plan work at Hollywood and Vine too? Their operating hours are a little different than Tusker. Breakfast is still until 10:30am, but lunch doesn't start until 11:30 at H & V. (lunch is 11am at Tusker) So if that latest I can get an ADR at H&V is 10:30, I probably can't stretch out breakfast an hour for before lunch gets set out at 11:30.

Yeah, it's been a while for me too, but I am still irked about the loss of the corned beef hash that they used to have on the breakfast - it was SO good! Generally though, Tusker House is well regarded and I'm sure the rest of the food is still delicious, but without that hash....

No they get you out before switching service...in fact I think they start seating the other side of the restaurant for lunch until the remaining breakfasts clear out.
