We prefer a late breakfast so are scheduled at TH at 10:30am. Now I'm worried, thinking that they serve lunch...

What time is lunch?

Will we be able to eat, at a relaxed pace, or rushed out for the lunch crowd?

How is TH breakfast?

Thanks!

We ate there a few weeks ago and had the first seating for lunch at 11:30 AM. I think they close the ADR period for a short time between breakfast and lunch, so it shouldn't be too crowded when you are there. The characters have to make the rounds to all of the breakfast families before the lunch families arrive.

I've never had breakfast there, but the lunch was great! It is one of our new favorite restaurants! :thumbsup2

I have an ADR ther in about two qeeks at 10:30 also, so I hope it is not crowded or rushed...Donald's Breakfastsaurus was my DS pick (has been his fav since he was 8, now he is 14)

We have the same time on Oct. 23. This is the last seating time for breakfast. I've been wondering if everything will still be "fresh" at the buffet or will they let items start running out since they will be switching to lunch. Either way my DD's are looking forward to seeing Daisy.

First off don't think that I did not like Tusker House. I greatly enjoyed the food and the opportunity to meet and greet the characters and get a really nice family photo as part of our experience.

Now with that being said I will tell you that I had a 10:30 ADR on 9/5/08. We did get there a bit later than I would have liked but we were there by about 10:15-20. We ended up waiting to be called until about 10:50. That's right, we had a good 20 minute wait after our scheduled ADR for our table. Once we got in we met one character right after another. My wife and I had to take turns getting food as our 2 year old daughter was too tired to get breakfast.

Now by 11:15 the Breakfast to lunch switch over was already being started. and by 11:30 there was no breakfast foods available. It was all lunch at that point and I don't know what Disney's policy is for breakfast/lunch buffet's but our waitress said we could stay as long as we wanted and would not charge us for the lunch buffet, which I didn't even think about as being more money for the lunch buffet.

Unfortunately during this whole mess my wife wanted to get a pastry that she saw earlier, but by the time she went back to get it, it was no longer available. Thankfully the waitress was so kind that she actually went to the bakery next door and found what my wife was looking for.

So long story short, if you would like to keep the 10:30 ADR, please arrive EXTRA early say maybe 10 AM. Please remember that an ADR is not a true reservation for that exact time, but that you can arrive early and that will give you a sort of priority seating ahead of those that arrive after you.

On the other hand if you want to try your luck and keep the 10:30 and have both breakfast and lunch this may be a good time for you. Just keep in mind that they may try to get you to pay for the lunch buffet as well. Again I don't know their policy on this situation, just wanted to mention it.

Again I love the new Tusker House and next year I hope that I can get an earlier ADR, but remember that is my personal opinion, for what it's worth.

Hope you enjoy your time and experiences as well if not better than ours.

Jason

Thanks for the review. As long as the kids get to see the characters, I'm ok with the food starting to be switched over. In fact, I think I would have booked lunch straight off if it had been a character meal.

We were there in March and had a 10:05 ressie. We got there about 10 and had to wait about 15-20 minutes.

The food was delicious!!! The characters came around probably 3 times each. LOVED it!!!

We were there for a 1030 ADR and got seated around 1045, they did switch to lunch while I was there but that was fine with me! Lunch was quite tasty :)

We eat late buffet breakfasts on every trip. You will never be charged for lunch. No server has ever even suggested that to us -- and I'd bet we've been in this position at least a two dozen times.

For the most part, with late breakfast buffet ADRs, we found the food continued to be fresh and the server and the chef were willing to make extra of anything from breakfast that we wanted more of. If we stayed late enough that lunch dishes were being put out, our server notified us and always said it was OK if we wanted to any of the lunch items. (We usually didn't bother.)
