turtle farm

Has anyone taken the bus to the turtle farm? If so, how long does it take? Do you need Grand Cayman money?

Haven't gone to the Turtle farm myself, however... when we were on 12/7 cruise we sat at breakfast with a couple that had gone. They took their 7 year old son.

I asked how it was and they said "cheesy"! Apparently it is nothing but a tourist trap and after you've seen one turtle you are ready to leave.

We were there in August, grandkids 7 and 8 thought it was great. Lots of turtles to see and hold. Wouldn't want to spend a lot of time there but it was fun watching their faces while holding the turtles. Also the rum cake store is right next door, best rum cake I ever tasted. We went on the tour, but it was not very expensive.

We took our grandson on one of the excursion last summer. At first he didn't think much of it, but when he got to hold one of the Tortugas, he became more interrested and began asking questions.
