I have always hated Florida drinking water. Ever since my first trip there as a kid, I've dreaded every sip I have had to take. To me, it is on the same level as Swill. But I'm wondering, am I alone? And if not, what can be done to make it a little more tolerable? So I've got a two part question for y'all.
#1 - What do you think of the drinking water in Florida? It tastes really odd to me, almost like I'm drinking water straight from the ocean. So whenever I'm down there, I either drink bottled water or soda from a bottle or can. If/when I get a soda from a restaurant, I have to ask for no ice so that the melting ice doesn't contaminate my drink.
#2 - And that brings me to my 2nd question. On my most recent trip to WDW, I packed a box of those Kool-Aid pouches (like what you would pack in your kid's lunch box) and carried it on the airplane with me. But with the stricter regulations, that is a definite no-no. And I'm leery about checking that sort of thing for fear that the un-pressurized cargo cabin will cause the pouches to explode. In the most recent edition of the All Ears newsletter, someone mentioned bringing those little packets of iced tea or lemonade or Kool-Aid that you mix with water. If you hate the water in Florida, have you tried this? And if so, does it help at all? And if it doesn’t help, any other ideas of how to combat the Florida drinking water problem?
Thank you in advance for the responses.
