I know one or two trips ago, we did this with a few un-used QS credits because our family got VERY sick, and was not able to make it to more than half of our meals, but I also remember hearing right after we got home, that they were putting a stop to it. Or that you could do it in your hotel, but not in the parks.... So what is the rule now - Can you turn your left over QS credits into 3 snack credits anywhere, or just in the hotel, or not at all anymore?

TIA!

There was never an official policy stating the QS credits could be converted into snack credits. At best, the reports indicated that this could be done at some of the resorts, usually only the resorts with a large food court and I don't recall ever hearing anyone was successful inside the parks. The number of snacks varied. I've heard everything from 1 QS for 3 snacks to a straight one-for-one trade. I think some of the 1-for-3 trade came from folks that managed to put together a QS-style meal using snack items. I know I asked (admittedly, several years ago) at the Screendoor (BW) about converting a QS credit into snacks, but the CM said they could not do it because they didn't have stuff that qualified for a QS credit (i.e., they could only redeem snack credits).

:thumbsup2 Agree with this.

Whether you'll be able to do this will depend on the CM and the resort. Likewise, the ratio of snacks per QS credit will also depend on the CM. As figment_jii said, creating a continental meal (using a aQS credit for 3 snack items) is a legitimate use of the QS credit, but some CMs will require that one of the 3 items is a beverage. Other than creating the continental meal, I've never heard anyone was able to do this in a park.

Captain Cooks did it for us this past January.. she called it the continental breakfast. I tried at the store on the second level and they said to go to captain cooks and they will do it so it must of been something common, having a name and option to ring it up and junk. we were able to load up on cookies, pastries, pop tarts etc.. worked out great for the long roadtrip home :)

You can kind of do this in the park bakery locations with 2 pastries and a drink. At resorts they typically are looser with how the credits are redeemed so doing this with 1 QS you can quite possibly make work (again like others have said with a drink as 1 item) for a single meal but you usually can't do the bring up 30 pre-packaged treats and try and swap it out for 10 meals like people did during free dining years ago. That being said it is not a good value at all for the DDP unless you really truly can't use the credits.

lol. this was my experience just months ago.. not knowing how it worked i asked the register CM first and she said sure just go grab everything and come back.. ended up with 24 items.. 12 fresh baked cookies, some pastries, some pop tarts, some praline island thingy that was pretty gross that they sell at captain cooks..

In September, we were at CSR, and the CM at the Rix cafe encouraged it! We swapped out about 4 or 5 CS meals.

At POR in April, the CM at the food court said they now have a policy against it. I asked for a manager, and she let me exchange 2 CS (even though I had more left over). And they were very limited in what I could choose.

In Nov they would only do it one for one at Pop. Wouldn't do it at all in the candy store in MK.

It is going to depend on who you ask. It's probably going to be done at resorts (at food courts, not at stores) not in parks. And some might allow 3 snacks, some might allow one, some might say you have to get a "continental meal" consisting of one baked good, one beverage and one piece of fruit - not three snacks of your choosing.

October last year the CM actually told me that I could do this (i didn'y know) and ran through what i could have. Got 3 snacks for each cs credit. Ended up with one of those clear food court bag busting at the seams. :goodvibes

This was my experience at Pop last fall. CM would only allow a drink, baked good and piece of fruit. I still don't think it makes sense that you can't get a drink, baked good and dessert, since a small pastry is certainly cheaper and smaller than a pasta dish, burger, etc. but they wouldn't humor my logic, so we ended up with A LOT of grapes for the trip home.

If you have a TS credit left over, can you use it for a CS meal?

I know it's not a financially smart move.

We have an 8pm ressie for dinner at OHana, It is the only available time, and it's towards the end of the trip. I will cancel ahead of time to avoid the charge. I'm also afraid I won't get a ressie anywhere else.

We really want to do Ohana so I will keep trying for an early time praying someone cancels. I know it is highly unlikely.

Yes, you can.

We have done this several times. but only at the resort food courts. AoA, CBR, POFQ,& POR. We got a yogurt, piece of fruit, and a bottle of juice or water for 1 CS credit, 1 pastry, 1 piece of fruit, and a bottled drink for 1 CS Credit. We were at AoA in January and did this our last day without any problem.

Not sure if it is still the same but in 2012 we exchanged 1 qs for 3 snacks at Pop without limitations on items. We went home with over 30 snacks none of which were drinks. Of course this was also when the QSDP included 2 snacks per day.
