Turning 30 in 2026 in the Happiest Place on Earth: Disneyland🎉

Hi!

I think everyone on these boards can feel my excitement because I am starting to plan my partner and I's 30th birthday trip to Disneyland! I cannot wait for this trip because it will be our first time at Disneyland/California Adventure + my partner's first time going to California. I have been to San Francisco before, but never Anaheim or LA.

My biggest question right now is.. should we go in January or February? My birthday is in late January and my partner's birthday is in late March.

What are the pros and cons of going in either month? Also, we are wanting to stay at the Disneyland Hotel.

Both Haunted Mansion and it's a small world close for a while in January to remove the holiday overlays. Here's a history of their closures to give you an idea of the possible timeline for 2026:

I would go in February but avoid Lincoln's Birthday to President's Day when various schools have those days off (and sometimes give the few days off in between off for students too)

Personally love Feb for Sweethearts Nites.

They are great events as a couple for dining and shorter lines.

The Disneyland Half Marathon is the first weekend in February, so just something to be aware of when planning your visit

Thank you all for your replies/advice! We are wanting to participate in the Half Marathon weekends possibly.

So, now with this change we have two options - Early February or Early September.

I live in the south so I am not worried about the heat, but I know early september can be hot.
