My friend is planning a family vacation to DL and her oldest will turn 3 during their trip. She's thinking about not buying him a ticket. I can't imagine them checking ID for toddlers and like she said, his passport isn't coming to the park with them. Anyone have any experience with this? :confused3

Thanks!!!

tHeir age on day one of the trip is their age the whole trip. They'll be fine. The same goes for a child turning 10 during the trip, they don't need an adult ticket half way through.

Thanks for the question and answer.
My daughter turns 3 on the last day of our trip and we are celebrating her birthday at Disney. I was wondering the same thing.

We had this experience and I would echo what previous posters have said. No one questioned us, but it was good to know the policy just in case.

I did have an awkward experience last summer. My DD was 2 at the time of the trip. Granted she is tall for her age, but I did not lie about her age to avoid paying for a ticket. On one of the days I was entering the park, the CM said " Are you trying to say she is 2?" I was appalled!! I said I gave birth to her so I guess I should know that yes indeed she is 2! She just rolled her eyes and waived us through. I was so angry about being treated like a liar that I reported her to guest services! Now that is the only time that happened during the 5 day trip, but just to let you know that even if they suspect the child is a different age, they are not likely to ask for identification as proof of age! I think this woman was just hot from the warm weather! :lmao:

I just got back from my trip. And one of the days at the entrance of DCA the CM ask if my dd had a ticket I said yes. She said she could have pass for 2 (she is kind of short) and she wink at me!

I don't think you are going to have a problem.

They are considered the age they are when start the trip thru the whole thing, so if she's 2 when you start and turns 3 the next day according to Disney she's 2 the whole trip. same thing when they are 9 turning 10. DD9 turned 10 2 days into our trip, she was 9 the whole time. Even the CM with DD confirmed that when I booked BB for DD bday, she said that DD was considered 9 because we started our trip 2 days before. :)
