Turn Around Day on a B2B - Help Me Beat the Boredom.

Reading, Relaxing and Listening to an Audiobook sounds EXACTLTY like an afternoon in the DMV. What's interesting about an empty terminal? It's a big room with some desks in it, desks you can't even rummage through to explore.

Nah, I'm gonna be bored, but as long as it's not more than an hour or so I can clamp down on my inner Aspie brat and deal.

Is there at least free wifi at the port so I can watch youtube?
But mostly, we took advantage of the "down time" to relax, read or listen to an audiobook, explore the terminal and the ship in a way you normally can't, and take lots and lots of people-free pictures.

Maybe it would be worthwhile to download a couple of shows that you can watch while in the terminal, as it sounds like you'd be bored regardless - you might as well watch something entertaining. IDK about wifi, suspect it depends on the terminal. But pre-downloading shows would avoid the risk that the wifi isn't good enough.

Yes, there's WiFi. Well, there's the DCL Guest WiFi. I don't remember if there's normal WiFi. But you can probably still get a signal from your cell network, too.

We were there for less than an hour in February. It was closer to 30-40 minutes.

At least if its Port Canaveral the terminal is actually kind of interesting. The floor has interesting patterns on it (which you normally only see snippets of when there are so many people there), and there is cut-away a model of one of the ships.

I would just plug back in and see what is going on in the real world. The unplug when i get back on the ship. Maybe share/upload pics to show family of your experiences. Being on vacation and not having to work is the best part.

I think one of the reasons to do a B2B is to stay on the boat between sailings. Just relax.

Port Canaveral is not like Miami or San Diego; you are not in the middle of a city that lends itself to a few hours’ visit,

You might be better off doing two 4-night cruises with a 3-day stay in Orlando wedged between. (Yep, a different option to consider.). I still consider theme parks tiring. But you would have that second cruise to recover.

And it doesn’t have to be WDW or Universal. You can do a little of each. Rent a car. Stay at a nice hotel. Options are wide open.

Don't want to do the parks in between B2B and risk not being able to get past testing right before our concierge leg, so we decided to do parks after testing was an issue.

Renting a car is a no go. I don't drive, so my wife has to do all the driving - and the one thing she is most looking forward to for this whole trip is not having to do any driving at all.

Though if we were to do away with testing doing Universal in between would be our first choice.
