Turn Around and See What Happens -- It's Whoopi Time and that's a wrap 3/31; F&G add

Wow, OHare is really swanky for the season! :thumbsup2 Nice!!

I also tend to sleep on planes :) Makes the time go faster.

So glad to hear you'll be meeting Tim's family - how fun!!

Here I am on page 6.....Almost to the part where we meet up!!! it was a fun trip though the girls (girl-different one than usual) was a bit tooo crazy at times. Best part hands down was meeting Nicki and Todd!!

Well, at lest you got here at the important part. :lmao::lmao: She was fine as the trip went on. I'm so glad you gals got to meet Nicki and Todd. :)

There is nothing better than the excitement of departure day for Disney!

Not a thing in the world (well, maybe winning the lotto would edge it out).

Those decorations at O'Hare are beautiful!

I thought so too.

Got to love that first sight of palm trees.

Just bring a big old smile to my face.

Glad everything went smoothly with your Magic Bands. I know how worried you were about them.

I was a wreck about them...but it all worked out in the end.

You definitely made good time from the airport to DTD! :thumbsup2 I know you were a bit stressed about the MB's. Glad you got a good start with them, hope this good luck remains for the rest of your trip! :goodvibes

Thanks; yes, I was very stressed about them and even more so when she had to go in the back and was gone for 15 minutes. But it all worked out.

:woohoo::cool1::yay:

Hooray! Having met Juliana, you're in for a treat! And having met Tim...well, you'll get to meet Juliana!

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Mark, that was funny. I'm looking forward to meeting all five of them.

More time in Disney! You can sleep when you're dead!

I wholeheartedly agree with you.

I think even people who don't know you at least know this.:rotfl2:

Hey now!

I guess you missed the engine that was on fire, too? :confused3

Yep, would have slept right through that too.

Ok, I'll be sure to post all of them! :thumbsup2

Were you there? Did I see you? I don't remember that. You must not have been wearing your Flyers clothes.

Did you seriously just have two pieces of luggage? I can't even fit all of our weekend road trip stuff into so few bags. I take everything and then a backup for everything. Where the heck did you pack the kitchen sink? :rotfl:

That was just my suitcase and Christmas gifts. Mark had a suitcase, and I had my carry on and my computer.

You two look so happy to be on the plane and on your way!

Yes, we were. It was a much needed break.

Oh and I almost forgot.....how cool that you're going to finally meet Tim in person after being Dis friends for so long.

Isn't that just the coolest thing? I was all set to plan a trip to New York to finally make it happen.

Thanks for the welcome. It's not really that I'm shy, more that I don't save my login stuff to work comp. As that's about the only time I have to check these boards... most days I'm too lazy to actually sign-in :). I'm working on getting better at it though! Have enjoyed all your reports thoroughly.

Well, I am delighted you chose to post here and hope you will do more of it. :goodvibes And thank you...I'm glad you've enjoyed the reports.

Woo hoo for meeting Timmy and family!:thumbsup2 What a treat!

Yes it is! Now, I have to meet you.

You're crazy to be getting up THAT early for a flight! I'm with Mark on this one, it's nuts. Then again, I am not a fan of the morning at all so there you go.

I'm not a morning person either. But for Florida, I can be up at 3 a.m. and not whimper at all.

Those lights are so pretty at your airport! Are those supposed to be birds flying?

Yes, I believe those are birds flying in the terminal.

Wow, Starbucks. Shocking.

Now don't you start too! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Glad your flight went well, I can never sleep on a plane though. The fear of plummeting to my death kind of keeps me awake and alert.

I never used to be able to sleep on flights. But I have found sleeping makes the trip go faster.

Don't you just love that moment when you drive up to the Disneyworld sign? I do!

It's the best!

Looking forward to more and seeing the Dismeets!:goodvibes

Thanks, Molly.

Wow, OHare is really swanky for the season! :thumbsup2 Nice!!

Last Christmas we flew out of Midway Airport and I don't remember them having very many decorations for Christmas.

I also tend to sleep on planes :) Makes the time go faster.

And this is why I now try to always sleep on the plane ride. :goodvibes

So glad to hear you'll be meeting Tim's family - how fun!!

Me too. :dance3::dance3::dance3:

Yay for meeting up with Tim.

You just can't do Illuminations with him, thats our thing! LOL:lovestruc

Your trip is off to a good start..even though early, but I like getting thee early

You had me at your Gran Marnier slushie picture :goodvibes

My DH always gets excited seeing his first palm tree --- its like a true sign that vacation has started!!

Hi! I finally made it! Yay for finally getting to meet Tim and his family! Very excited for you guys! B) I am kinda obsessed with your tinker bell suitcase! C) So glad that you had smooth sailing with your magic bands and AP! I really liked the MBs on my trip in November. Cant wait to see what is next!

Thanks; I don't get many pictures of myself because I am always behind the camera it seems.

Me too Kathy, I prefer it that way!

Janet, I am thrilled you are here; it will be good to have you around and you can add to our DIS meet if you like.

So happy to be here too :goodvibes I have pix of you, Mark and me, and then of the whole group .... and of course of our resident pole dancing DISer Rosie!! :cool1: (You should of seen Rosie in Morroco!!)

:rotfl2: It does look de-lish! :thumbsup2

***********************************

Kathy,
LOVE the tink luggage... one of these days I will return with some mickey luggage myself. :)

BTW, we like to take early flights too. Usually we are anxious (and then I don't spend all day thinking about the flight!!:scared1:)

Happy that you got to meet up with Tim and family. It's great to meet our DIS friends in person. :)

Yay, how nice that you will be meeting your first DIS friend, finally! :cool1:

I love your Tink suitcase! I really want Vera Bradley luggage someday, but then I see Disney luggage and I think I might want that instead...it's all so cute!

Wow, your airport goes all out for the holidays! I don't remember seeing any decorations in Hartford! :confused3

Your arrival at the airport went much smoother than mine! :rotfl:

Glad your flight went well, I can never sleep on a plane though. The fear of plummeting to my death kind of keeps me awake and alert.

oh this is SO me!!

(btw I try to tire myself out (usually from staying up all night) so I can manage to doze off to forget where I am :upsidedow). but every single little bump and weird noise gets me instantly awake!)

Like others, I covet your luggage. Very Cute!!

You look very excited on the plane. I can't say I blame you!

I love that you got Starbucks. I too must have mine at the start of my trips. This next trip I may have my mug that I bought... I think I am bringing it. I am not sure if it will work in the airports though... but either way, i am still going to get my starbucks!

And... It is so cool you get to have your special dismeet finally!!

AWWWWWWWWWWW!!! I am SO elated you get to meet finally!!!! :cool1:

With all the trips you take you still have that glow in your eye going to Disney. you and Mark are truly Disney fanatics!!! you should start a information blog... One just on Starbuck locations and slushies... :lovestruc

popcorn::

SOOOOOO happy this will go slow with the holidays FAST approaching i don't know how much time i will get on this thing!

I'm glad you got to see Rosie and Janet; I'm just sorry we missed. Budget seems to have the lowest prices lately. As you know, I found my "little sis" here on the DIS. :goodvibes
I initally booked through my HR site, then I got an offer through priceline..both for Budget, the priceline one saved me an additional 60 bucks!

Janet is my BFF...met her on the RC thread, and there are a few very special ladies I text on a daily basis pretty much. I love your TRs with Nicki and Todd :goodvibes People who truly love Disney are special I think..we are blessed to know you Kathy  If I ever stop changing so much I could meet more DISers:rotfl2:

 Pas, So happy to have met your family (heck my family too )
 Me too! Just sorry they were so impatient...my fault for teasing them being so close to the castle ;)

Alan, it's been a long time. It's great to see you. Thanks for joining. I'm going to hop over to your PTR and read in a bit.

It has been a long time and I'm so glad to be back! I'm reading some of your past trip reports now! Thanks for reading my PTR!

Ms. Kat get's to finally meet Tim and family!!! :lovestruc

I'm so jealous, but not enough to go during Sept. :sad2:

I wish y'all were going in late Oct. :( Oh well! Maybe next time.

Cute suitcase, Ms. Kat! Is it holding up well, I've held off thinking they don't. :worried:

Sounds like the flight was uneventful, and I can't blame Mr. Mark for not wanting to be up that early, but how can you beat that 10:30-11:00 time of getting there!! :cool1:

Dunt! Dunt! Dunnnn.......Will they get a room early or won't they? That is the question! popcorn::

Baking cookies is the same plan in our household... Carolyn (DW) and Alyssa (DD) have been making cookies all day once we got home from church. Don't feel too sorry for them though, I'm the one with the tough job... I have been given the difficult task of sampling the finished product. :rotfl2:

The holidays are such a booger to get through, at least you have a lee-way with all the weight you've lost, me not so much. :sad2: I feel like I'm too close to the danger zone to go too far.
So, how were they? If I can't partake I'm gonna live vicariously through you, dang it! :rotfl:

Sorry to hear your not feeling well. Last week when I got home from WDW I woke up the next morning feeling a little hoarse. By Saturday I had a fever of 100.2, Sunday up to 100.8 and peaked on Monday at 101.3; I guess the bright side of it was that it happened when I got home and not during my time in Disney. Either way it was the sickest I had been in years.

Awwww, such a bummer. I hope you are feeling better, Bob. But at least you were able to hold off until you were home. One of the big reasons I don't like to travel at this time of the year, too easy to get sick, a friend of mine just got home from a cruise and said everyone was dropping like flies on the ship with the flu. She said they at least didn't get it until they were home, also said it was the hardest she's been hit in years. :guilty:

Here I am on page 6.....Almost to the part where we meet up!!! it was a fun trip though the girls (girl-different one than usual) was a bit tooo crazy at times. Best part hands down was meeting Nicki and Todd!!

:yay: You got to meet Nicki and Todd!! I hope to do that some day. ::yes::

 Don't you just love the Dis, this is the only place where we are all as excited to meet one another in person as we are about our trips! :rotfl: I love it!!

Hmmm... I thought I was way behind. Turns out I'm only an intro post and an update away from being caught up. Thanks for waiting for me. :rotfl2::lmao:

Well, this is finally happening. It turns out Tim and Mel and the kids will be in Disney for part of our September 2014 trip and I am just so excited that I am going to finally meet my first real DIS friend. Okay, back to what you are here for.
If you don't take a whip to the Dismeet, I'll be disappointed. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

O'Hare Airport decked out for the holidays:
Looks nice. For an airport anyway.

Of course, on the way, those who know me, know that I had to stop for my Starbucks coffee. I also got a butter croissant:
We all knew it was coming.

Mark got a bagel (sorry for the "half eaten" food pic...you would think the man would know better by now)
And as usual, Mark went somewhere else. And it was probably half eaten because he had time to eat that much while he was waiting for you to get out of the line at Starbucks. :rolleyes1

We headed over to Guest Relations to pick up our new Annual Passes and pray that our Magic Bands would work. It took about 20 minutes, but everything was working.
Well, I hope it worked when it counted...

Hopping on!! So excited!

Last year we went to Chicago for New Years and man O'Hare is so pretty around Christmas time! It was so "Home Alone" :lovestruc

Excited to see what you've been up to!
