Here I am on page 6.....Almost to the part where we meet up!!! it was a fun trip though the girls (girl-different one than usual) was a bit tooo crazy at times. Best part hands down was meeting Nicki and Todd!!

Well, at lest you got here at the important part. She was fine as the trip went on. I'm so glad you gals got to meet Nicki and Todd.

There is nothing better than the excitement of departure day for Disney!

Thanks; yes, I was very stressed about them and even more so when she had to go in the back and was gone for 15 minutes. But it all worked out.

Did you seriously just have two pieces of luggage? I can't even fit all of our weekend road trip stuff into so few bags. I take everything and then a backup for everything. Where the heck did you pack the kitchen sink?

That was just my suitcase and Christmas gifts. Mark had a suitcase, and I had my carry on and my computer.

Oh and I almost forgot.....how cool that you're going to finally meet Tim in person after being Dis friends for so long.

I'm not a morning person either. But for Florida, I can be up at 3 a.m. and not whimper at all.

Those lights are so pretty at your airport! Are those supposed to be birds flying?

Yes, I believe those are birds flying in the terminal.

Glad your flight went well, I can never sleep on a plane though. The fear of plummeting to my death kind of keeps me awake and alert.

I never used to be able to sleep on flights. But I have found sleeping makes the trip go faster.

Don't you just love that moment when you drive up to the Disneyworld sign? I do!

Last Christmas we flew out of Midway Airport and I don't remember them having very many decorations for Christmas.

I also tend to sleep on planes Makes the time go faster.

And this is why I now try to always sleep on the plane ride.

I'm glad you got to see Rosie and Janet; I'm just sorry we missed. Budget seems to have the lowest prices lately. As you know, I found my "little sis" here on the DIS.

I initally booked through my HR site, then I got an offer through priceline..both for Budget, the priceline one saved me an additional 60 bucks!

Janet is my BFF...met her on the RC thread, and there are a few very special ladies I text on a daily basis pretty much. I love your TRs with Nicki and Todd People who truly love Disney are special I think..we are blessed to know you Kathy If I ever stop changing so much I could meet more DISers

Sounds like the flight was uneventful, and I can't blame Mr. Mark for not wanting to be up that early, but how can you beat that 10:30-11:00 time of getting there!!

Dunt! Dunt! Dunnnn.......Will they get a room early or won't they? That is the question!

Baking cookies is the same plan in our household... Carolyn (DW) and Alyssa (DD) have been making cookies all day once we got home from church. Don't feel too sorry for them though, I'm the one with the tough job... I have been given the difficult task of sampling the finished product.

The holidays are such a booger to get through, at least you have a lee-way with all the weight you've lost, me not so much. I feel like I'm too close to the danger zone to go too far.
So, how were they? If I can't partake I'm gonna live vicariously through you, dang it!

Sorry to hear your not feeling well. Last week when I got home from WDW I woke up the next morning feeling a little hoarse. By Saturday I had a fever of 100.2, Sunday up to 100.8 and peaked on Monday at 101.3; I guess the bright side of it was that it happened when I got home and not during my time in Disney. Either way it was the sickest I had been in years.

Awwww, such a bummer. I hope you are feeling better, Bob. But at least you were able to hold off until you were home. One of the big reasons I don't like to travel at this time of the year, too easy to get sick, a friend of mine just got home from a cruise and said everyone was dropping like flies on the ship with the flu. She said they at least didn't get it until they were home, also said it was the hardest she's been hit in years.

Hmmm... I thought I was way behind. Turns out I'm only an intro post and an update away from being caught up. Thanks for waiting for me.

Well, this is finally happening. It turns out Tim and Mel and the kids will be in Disney for part of our September 2014 trip and I am just so excited that I am going to finally meet my first real DIS friend. Okay, back to what you are here for.

If you don't take a whip to the Dismeet, I'll be disappointed.

O'Hare Airport decked out for the holidays:

Of course, on the way, those who know me, know that I had to stop for my Starbucks coffee. I also got a butter croissant:

Mark got a bagel (sorry for the "half eaten" food pic...you would think the man would know better by now)

And as usual, Mark went somewhere else. And it was probably half eaten because he had time to eat that much while he was waiting for you to get out of the line at Starbucks.

We headed over to Guest Relations to pick up our new Annual Passes and pray that our Magic Bands would work. It took about 20 minutes, but everything was working.

Well, I hope it worked when it counted...

Last year we went to Chicago for New Years and man O'Hare is so pretty around Christmas time! It was so "Home Alone"
