Turn Around and See What Happens -- It's Whoopi Time and that's a wrap 3/31; F&G add

Ugh, we got a lot of snow over the weekend, but luckily, I don't think it was as bad as it was supposed to be. And since it was 50 here yesterday, most of it is melted, but today it's obnoxiously cold again!

I love Holiday Wishes, my favorite fireworks in Disney! I always try not to take pictures but I can't help it, they just look so pretty!

The parade is my favorite too, but it's so hard to get good pictures of it!

Wow, your photopass pictures are awesome! We didn't get that many, and actually, I didn't even bother looking at them, since I didn't order the CD (if they even have that, I don't pay attention anymore since I know I won't order it!)

I wanted to meet Pooh and Friends, but the line was always too long.

Great updates! I can't believe we were at the same party and didn't walk by each other once!

stay safe and warm in all the cold yucky weather you are having Kathy! and everyone else here who is dealing with it!

yay you got to see your boys! we tried twice and always just missed the cut off :(

great location for Wishes, love seeing the fireworks from different parts of the park! we watched the parade from in front of the Trading post in Frontierland and my photos didn't turn out great either due to the lighting

I just love, love, love the castle with the little lights all over it! Nothing like it!

I'm a huge fan of Pooh and pals -- so I love those photos of you guys with the entire crew together! :goodvibes

Hi KatMark!

I am joining in and loving your TR, I can't wait for more!popcorn:: I love all of the Christmas photos. We really want to go during Christmas, but it just isn't working for us with school so we are planning a trip in August this year. I will live vicariously through your Disney Christmas photos! :santa:

I had no idea we were neighbors... aren't you ready for this awful cold to leave? This was DD on Sunday, before the -40 windchill hit.

Hope you are staying warm!

Kathy I'd say you had a pretty great day!
We were in a similar spot for the Christmas parade but I was sitting on the ground so all my photos of the parade and characters is looking up their noses. :rotfl: You got a great photo of Santa and his sleigh.

I'm sure Cayley enjoyed an extra spin on BTMRR with you. That is a cute photo of you guys.

That was great timing with the Pooh characters photo stop. I loved their winter wear! I do love the holiday borders... having gone a little crazy with my Photopass pics I think I have 3 versions of many photos because I couldn't decide on the borders. Great job. Especially the ones on Main Street before you exited.

Oh and about my comedian at home that keeps me entertained similar to Mark - such a true statement! Everyday Michael's like that. I don't have a lack of tears of laugher most days. :goodvibes

Stay warm and safe!

Great update. I didn't get on many rides the night of the party. The lines for characters was insane. Skipped wishes too but did the Jingle Cruise instead. NO LINES at all. We got off the ride to a 30 minute wait. When those parade crowds hit the waits become long.

I don't think I got any photopass pics leaving. Hope you have been warm here. We are -20 with wind chills and our schools stayed open. We kept the grandkids home. That is just too cold and the heat in their school is spotty on a good day. Is it baseball season yet?

Cayley and I had so much fun and knew the parade wouldn't be starting yet, that we went for a second ride. :thumbsup2
2 night rides on Thunder Mountain?! :thumbsup2

I love how you walk along and see things like this and it just brings a smile to your face
::yes:: I love the extra little touches for the Christmas party.

And then the four of our friends arrived
I'm glad you got to spend some quality time with Tigger. :thumbsup2

But who can leave the MK at Christmas time without a few more pictures of the castle and photopass pictures?
A successful party night, all around! :thumbsup2

It's snowing (the ONLY place I like snow)
I could stand a little more. We were on the snow/freezing rain line Sunday. We got rain about all day Sunday that turned to snow in the afternoon. So basically we have about 2 inches of frozen slush that got covered by 5 inches of snow. :headache: Might get up to 0 this afternoon though! :thumbsup2 :rolleyes1

Great pictures with Pooh and the Gang! I just love Eeyore. He's so sweet.

The party sounds like a lot of fun. Maybe someday we'll get down there for one of the special events. :thumbsup2

Looks like you had a fantastic party! I swear Cayley could be your daughter! You two look so much alike. Kinda funny that the younger of the two was more awake than the older! I am so happy you got to see Pooh and friends! I love it when the Characters are in their holiday clothes! Speaking of Holiday clothes. I love you are Mark's shirts! Especially Marks, but that is because I have an old joke about Grumpy. I even named my new car Grumpy because I was in a bad mood the day I had to buy it lol.

Wonderful update and pictures! :thumbsup2I love borders myself so you can’t have too many for me.:goodvibes

:yay: for you and Cayley getting BTMRR twice before the parade. Good planning on your part to have the others grab a spot.:thumbsup2 (I love it when it falls together like that. :))

And congrats on getting your pix with the boys (with really no wait!). The line is always so long (we missed them). Tuesdays is one of the perfect days for attending these hard ticket events (we did both the Halloween and Pirate & Princess parties on those days with equal success on getting on rides).

Oh, did you get a picture with Merida? That was a new one for me.

Overall, a great start to your trip! :goodvibes

Okay, all caught up....sorry about that :flower3: Looks like a great start. All the Christmas decorations look fun! And I love the meet & greet with Pooh & Friends in their cute scarves.

I do love the Christmas borders too. Now I think I read somewhere you said you won't be doing anymore parties in the future? Why is that...the crowds?

Kathy We had freezing rain last night !! It was awful I drove so slow and was a wreck !!! This has been the worst winter we have had in a long time and I was getting spoiled !!!

Rosie, this has been a really bad winter in so many places. I'm glad you are okay.

Ugggghhh. I'm a warm weather person for sure. January is just not my month! May cannot get here soon enough! You guys stay warm!

November, December, January, February and March -- I hate them all. :lmao: I just wish we would have more than two seasons -- winter and spring/summer (depending on the year).

Great update! You all look like it was a very nice evening.

Thanks, Ann. We had a very nice time.

I am sorry you are getting slammed with the snow! That is just not fun. Stay warm!!!

The snow (10 inches), the frigid air. Spring/summer cannot come soon enough for me.

Playing catch up here Miss Kathy!:goodvibes

Hi, Miss Molly. I was hoping I wouldn't have to yell at you for falling behind (by the way...I did another update :rotfl:)

Oh man, I'm with you on that scary clown slide! No way would I want to see that glowing monstrosity from my room! His eyes are creepy and his hair looks like spaghettio's!

I don't have a fear of clowns really, but this one just freaks me out. His hair does look like spaghettio's...good call on that one.

How cute are those sweet girlies! It looks they just adore you and Mark, and vice versa.:thumbsup2

They really are; and we do adore them and Cayley said the other day she missed me. How sweet is that?

Gah, The Plaza disappointed you?!?! Oh dear, that is not good. I'm sorry to hear it though I must say we weren't overly thrilled last time we ate there either. But I love the atmosphere inside.

Our food was good; the service just was not this time. I'm hoping for better in September.

Love the selfie you took with Cayley! Very cute.

Thank you.

Man, that was a mega Dismeet! How fun! I just think it's so cool that people you "meet" on the Dis get the chance to meet in real life. Unless it's Tim...:p :duck:

It was such a fun DISmeet. Are you :stir:, Ms. Molly?

You guys are seriously getting dumped on over in Illinois! I saw your pics on facebook and wow! What a sweet neighbor you have.:thumbsup2

Thank heaven for good neighbors. I could never have shoveled that driveway on my own and Andy was trying to get home from Dallas that day.

I just love these trips you get to take with Mary's girls.:goodvibes They look so fun! I'll bet those girls are keeping you young, right?:goodvibes

Those girls either keep me young or give me more gray hair? :confused3 Seriously, I love these trips and I'm sad this year will be the last one for awhile.

I see you are trying to slip something through….. I've got my eye on you miss :sail:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Funny how you show up when someone picks on you.

She's paying you back for all the picking on poor innocent Rosie that you BOYS do !!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Molly will defend us all until her last breath, Rosie.

Why, whatever do you mean?

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Yes, you are an angel, Molly.

That's right Rosie!:thumbsup2 Don't you worry, Kathy and I won't let them bully you.::yes:: These boys aren't tough, though I do recall Tim owning a whip...:rolleyes1

Absolutely not! I asked Tim if he was bringing the whip when we finally meet him in September.

Awesome updates Kathy! Great photos! I LOVED that one of Mark with Eeyore. (Eeyore is my fav!)

Thanks, Alan. Mark and Eeyore are best friends after all these years.

Kathy a really great update !!Loved all your PP pix , sooo colorful!! The Parade looked great.Yeah for getting the Character pix !!!

Thanks, Rosie. I loved all of our PP's too.

Actually the Boys have NOT been around much to pick on me !!! But I know you have my back when they start again !!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Nope, I think Marv has flown the coop.

Ah, I love the MK at Christmas time! The Castle is so pretty! The parade is great too. And the WDW snow is much better than the stuff you guys are dealing with right now!

Jill in CO

I think going at Christmas is worth it just to see that beautiful castle. The snow and the cold have really gone on too long now.

Awww, look at you and Cayley! That picture is worth a thousand words!

Thanks, Lisa. :)

Ya'll lucked up when it came to meeting Pooh and his gang! Hardly no wait and lots of Photopass pictures. :thumbsup2

I was so happy that we hit it just right to see Pooh and gang.

The castle looks so gorgeous with all of the lights, and Pooh and gang are adorable in their scarves. I'm excited to see the decorations in person this year!

:wave2::wave2: thank you for stopping in. Christmas truly is the most beautiful and magical time to go.

Those pictures of the castle were just what I needed to see on this gloomy day. It was so beautiful. I wish they would leave those lights on all year.

I'm glad I could cheer you up on such a gloomy day. I hope you are surviving this awful weather.

I will finish up responses tonight when I get home. I'm hoping our trains aren't running too late with the frozen tracks.

I love all your photo pass pictures, they are fantastic! My favorite is the one with you and the boys! How special is that?

Thanks, sis. You know how much I love my boys.

Great updates and pictures!

Thanks, Starr.

Ha! The only place you love snow!! So true.
Hope you are staying warm and safe today. They just cancelled school for the kids again tomorrow! They are so happy!! :)

Seriously, enough snow and cold. In Disney, it doesn't stick or get to 15 below. I'm glad they were smart and cancelled school...the kids safety is much more important.

That's the way to do it! Have a few in your family hold some spots for the parade and go for not one, but TWO rides on BTMRR! :thumbsup2 Cayley looks like she had a blast!

It worked out great. I think BTMRR is one of Cayley's favorites; she even asked to sit in the last seat of the last car and they couldn't resist that smile.

Sounds like everyone had a great time! Cute pictures with Pooh & gang!

Thank you; we had a blast.

oh how beautiful!!!
eeyore is my favorite. i like how you guys kinda pushed pooh outta the way!:rotfl:

As you know, Eeyore is Mark's favorite. I don't think we pushed Pooh out of the way, but Eeyore kept loving on Mark. I promise to make it up to Pooh next time we see him. ;)

the girls again are just so adorable!! all of you look so CUTE!!!

Awww...thanks.

SO glad you have great neighbors!!!
i am a bit tired of snow. we have over 3 feet right now.. (i'm very close to the lake) the cold?? is kicking my tail end...
i heard we are in a state of emergency.. does that mean the city is closed?!?! that would make me a happy girl...:thumbsup2

I'm sick of winter in general. I hate snow, I hate cold. I couldn't believe all of the snow when went in the city today. We only got about 18 inches total. I wish the city would close (although the way those politicians work you would think it was closed all of the time).

I just love all the pictures of you and Mark. Wow - the park looks almost empty by the time you guys left, but you are still going strong - all smiles. I also love the pic of you guys with the 100 acre friends. Mark and Eeyore are getting real chummy in that one picture! :rotfl2:

Thanks, MaryEllen. I want to say the park was closing at midnight and it was now around 11:30 so it could have been thinning out. I'm beginning to wonder about Eeyore. ;)

Those poor girls -they must have been exhausted. When kids are ready to crash there is no stopping them!

No, there isn't. Cayley always has more energy at the end of the day than Avery, but she was really crashing fast.

I was in line by Dumbo to see the “Ducks” when I heard your voice saying “follow me, keep up”. I was hysterical. I called your name but you were on a mission to get on the ride so you probably did not hear me. LOl

Sometimes those girls like to lag behind; you have to keep them moving so you can get things done. :lmao:

Wow! You really went all over the park.

We did; and we peeked at a few of the character meet and greets and the lines were crazy.

Pinocchio looks shocked. LOL

He looks kind of creepy.

Love the Pooh group photo.

Thank you.

Looked like a fun time at the party.

I thought it was fun.

It was so great to meet you and everyone who went to the meet.

I am so happy we got to meet. :)

I'm kind of glad that I haven't been able to follow the past 3 posts. What a great below freezing day to sit back and enjoy all of your posts and photo's. I'm loving all the borders, btw. Sounds like you had a fantastic day - a great mega dis'meet, fun on the rides, smiles all around and a great ending to the day.

Thanks; I'm glad I gave you something to do since you can't go out in this nonsense. The borders are so fun at Christmas. It was a really great day.

Read you soon! :surfweb:

Always good to have you here.

Kathy, You are a master of the Trip Reports. :worship: One of these days I might great brave enough to do one myself.

You are very kind, but there are those who are way above me in doing TR's. And I really don't know why you don't do one...you'd be great.

I loved the pictures with the Pooh characters. Tigger is my second favorite character. (can you guess my favorite, LOL). We did Crystal Palace for the first time in December and loved the characters... We have booked it again for June. :thumbsup2

Gee, I wonder who your favorite character is? Maybe it's: :stitch2: No, I know who it is: :goofy: CP is our favorite character meal.

I'm with you about snow; the only place I want to see and experience snow is when its 80 degrees on Main Street. :rotfl2: It's a whole lot more enjoyable than the blustery -9 degrees and snowing junk that is going on as I type.

We've not had any snow since Sunday but flurries are in the forecast for tomorrow. I think we are over our -15 and feeling like -50 below.

Bye the way, did you notice that my signature is different below... With the latest round of discounts released by Disney we changed from the AKL to the CR-CL, doing the DxDP and added a fourth person. We are taking my late brothers 12 year old daughter (my niece) to Disney for her first visit. The dates have not changed though.

That is really sweet of you to take your niece for her very first trip; and I think it will do you a world of good too.

Never watched Wishes from there. You always learn something new on the DIS Boards.

We've done it a few times; it's not good for the castle show, but it's fine for Wishes.

10:30? I think I'd be crashing too. :rolleyes1

Oh I'm sure you will be in a few weeks (or sooner) with the new baby.

:thumbsup2:goodvibes

It just makes it all the more magical.

Glad you got your visits in. It wouldn't seem right if you didn't meet up with these guys.

No it wouldn't. And *spoiler alert*...we didn't see them in the book store in United Kingdom at Epcot this trip.

Really? I wouldn't have gathered that, reading your FB feed. :rotfl2:

Hush up; you have no idea how I hate winter. I really don't know if Mark and I can handle three more winters before we move.

Great day! Disney at Christmas time looks as beautiful as ever.

It was a great day, and Disney is never more beautiful than it is at Christmas.

Great update! :)

Thank you. :goodvibes

Ugh, we got a lot of snow over the weekend, but luckily, I don't think it was as bad as it was supposed to be. And since it was 50 here yesterday, most of it is melted, but today it's obnoxiously cold again!

We are supposed to hit 40 on Sunday, but it will take a lot more of that to get rid of our 18 inches plus.

I love Holiday Wishes, my favorite fireworks in Disney! I always try not to take pictures but I can't help it, they just look so pretty!

I'm at a toss-up between Holiday and Hallowishes...but they are great.

The parade is my favorite too, but it's so hard to get good pictures of it!

I don't know if it's the lighting or what, but I have yet to get good pictures.

Wow, your photopass pictures are awesome! We didn't get that many, and actually, I didn't even bother looking at them, since I didn't order the CD (if they even have that, I don't pay attention anymore since I know I won't order it!)

With the girls there, I wanted to get the PP+ and so glad I did. I don't know what I am doing in May or September about the new Memory book.

I wanted to meet Pooh and Friends, but the line was always too long.

I was so glad that we caught it the way we did...the timing was perfect.

Great updates! I can't believe we were at the same party and didn't walk by each other once!

Me neither; and I kept looking for you.

stay safe and warm in all the cold yucky weather you are having Kathy! and everyone else here who is dealing with it!

Thanks, Lisa. It was a little better today and we are reaching +14 tomorrow.

yay you got to see your boys! we tried twice and always just missed the cut off :(

I'm sorry you didn't get to see them.

great location for Wishes, love seeing the fireworks from different parts of the park! we watched the parade from in front of the Trading post in Frontierland and my photos didn't turn out great either due to the lighting

It's a good spot like I said for the fireworks, but not so good for the show on the castle.

I just love, love, love the castle with the little lights all over it! Nothing like it!

It truly is spectacular.

I'm a huge fan of Pooh and pals -- so I love those photos of you guys with the entire crew together! :goodvibes

Awww...thanks; I'm glad you liked them. You can't beat Pooh and friends.

Hi KatMark!

:wave2: :welcome::welcome: Thank you for joining.

I am joining in and loving your TR, I can't wait for more!popcorn:: I love all of the Christmas photos. We really want to go during Christmas, but it just isn't working for us with school so we are planning a trip in August this year. I will live vicariously through your Disney Christmas photos! :santa:

I hope someday you can go at Christmas; there's nothing like it. We went in August last year...the crowds weren't too bad.

I had no idea we were neighbors... aren't you ready for this awful cold to leave? This was DD on Sunday, before the -40 windchill hit.

Hope you are staying warm!

Where are you located? I am ready for winter to be over. Your DD is adorable though.

Kathy I'd say you had a pretty great day!
We were in a similar spot for the Christmas parade but I was sitting on the ground so all my photos of the parade and characters is looking up their noses. :rotfl: You got a great photo of Santa and his sleigh.

It was a good day. Up their noses? I'm not sure what is worse--up their noses or their behinds. :lmao: I was shocked that Santa was the best picture I got.

I'm sure Cayley enjoyed an extra spin on BTMRR with you. That is a cute photo of you guys.

Thanks; there was literally no line. We could have possibly tried a third time but didn't want to risk i.

That was great timing with the Pooh characters photo stop. I loved their winter wear! I do love the holiday borders... having gone a little crazy with my Photopass pics I think I have 3 versions of many photos because I couldn't decide on the borders. Great job. Especially the ones on Main Street before you exited.

I couldn't believe our timing...I was so happy. I'm glad I'm not the only one...the borders are just so cute. Thanks. :)

Oh and about my comedian at home that keeps me entertained similar to Mark - such a true statement! Everyday Michael's like that. I don't have a lack of tears of laugher most days. :goodvibes

He just makes me laugh. And I love that he keeps referring to me as "my best friend that I never met." :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Stay warm and safe!

Today was better, and tomorrow we get a thaw...finally.

Great update. I didn't get on many rides the night of the party. The lines for characters was insane. Skipped wishes too but did the Jingle Cruise instead. NO LINES at all. We got off the ride to a 30 minute wait. When those parade crowds hit the waits become long.

Thanks, Lorrie. We got quite a few rides, but we missed a lot of characters I had hoped to see. I must have gone to Jingle Cruise right after you got off that we had the 30 minute wait.

I don't think I got any photopass pics leaving. Hope you have been warm here. We are -20 with wind chills and our schools stayed open. We kept the grandkids home. That is just too cold and the heat in their school is spotty on a good day. Is it baseball season yet?

We were -50 with the windchills on Monday (work and schools cancelled); better today and even better tomorrow. I'm glad you kept the grandkids home. Yes, I would love for it to be baseball season.

2 night rides on Thunder Mountain?! :thumbsup
2

Can't beat it...especially at night.

::yes:: I love the extra little touches for the Christmas party.

That special Disney touch.

I'm glad you got to spend some quality time with Tigger. :thumbsup2

Thank you. :goodvibes

A successful party night, all around! :thumbsup2

For the most part, yes. I just wish they'd not oversell it.

I'll be glad to give you some of our 18 inches! How low did our temps go?

Great pictures with Pooh and the Gang! I just love Eeyore. He's so sweet.

Thank you Shannon. He is so lovable.

The party sounds like a lot of fun. Maybe someday we'll get down there for one of the special events. :thumbsup2

We enjoy them, but we will skip the parties in the future.

Kathy I've never watched downtown Abbey -- i'm sure I would like it, I just don't have that mch time for tv. As it is, I totally immersed myself in Once Upon a time over Christmas but have not been back on Netflix since 12/30. No Time!

I'd say that Mark is more like the Grumpy in the show---he started out as Dreamy but had to give up his Dream (love) and now he's Grumpy)---except that Mark clearly did not have to give up his dream -- he is living with her everyday and enjoying every moment of it.

but I do love his shirt collection!

You and Cayley did it right hitting BTMRR twice while the gang waited for the parade!

I never would have guessed that the bridge by Splash was good viewing for Wishes. I'll have to make a note of that one!

So many characters in the parade. Love that. Pinocchio does look a little scared in that one photo, but he looks great walking with Jiminy Cricket!

Your photos with Tigger & "the boys" turned out great. Love the one with Mark & Eeyore. so cute!

The castle looks so pretty with all of the icicles hanging. Not sure when we will ever get to see Disney at Christmas now that we realize that we can't take Katie away from school for vacation any more. its just too hard for her to get back in the swing when she gets back. and the idea of the Christmas week crowds is really scary to me!

you all really did have a wonderful first day!

hope you've managed the cold well. Here they closed school today & have a 2 hour delay tomorrow due to the wind chill temps. bah. I walked the dog this morning -- well bundled as I should be -- and it wasn't that bad for the short time I was out. Less time than kids would have waited for the bus. oh well!! be warm and safe.

It was...the only thing that would have made it a little more perfect would have been the chance to see more characters. I think it's my "phoney" blonde hair as my husband would tell you. It is kind of funny that Cayley had more energy than Avery. I love the holiday clothes at Christmas and Halloween. Thank you; that is definitely one of Mark's favorite shirts. And I'd be Grumpy if I had to buy a new car too. ;)

Wonderful update and pictures! :thumbsup2I love borders myself so you can’t have too many for me.:goodvibes

It's so hard to pick just one border.

:yay: for you and Cayley getting BTMRR twice before the parade. Good planning on your part to have the others grab a spot.:thumbsup2 (I love it when it falls together like that. :))

It truly worked out perfectly.

And congrats on getting your pix with the boys (with really no wait!). The line is always so long (we missed them). Tuesdays is one of the perfect days for attending these hard ticket events (we did both the Halloween and Pirate & Princess parties on those days with equal success on getting on rides).

I was so happy. Hmmmm....we did Halloween on a Tuesday the last time and it was the worse party we went to. :confused3

Oh, did you get a picture with Merida? That was a new one for me.

We got NO other character pictures at the party.

Overall, a great start to your trip! :goodvibes

It was a good start to our trip.

Okay, all caught up....sorry about that :flower3: Looks like a great start. All the Christmas decorations look fun! And I love the meet & greet with Pooh & Friends in their cute scarves.

:wave2: Suzi's here. :) It was a great start to the trip. And nothing can put a damper on our trip with the holiday decorations and spirit just running through you. I love Pooh and the guys.

I do love the Christmas borders too. Now I think I read somewhere you said you won't be doing anymore parties in the future? Why is that...the crowds?

You read right. I am so tired of Disney overselling things that you can't enjoy yourself after spending all that additional money. We could either do rides or see characters. There has to be a balance where you can fit in a little of both and that's just impossible with the number of tickets they sell.

Love the updates!

Do they play the music for Wishes all the way near Splash? I've never watched Wishes in MK from anywhere but Main St or the hub.

Glad you got to see Pooh & friends.

Gotta love the Christmas parade… That is what my next update is gonna be. I might just go write that now.:artist:
