Turn Around and See What Happens -- It's Whoopi Time and that's a wrap 3/31; F&G add

So we had finished hitting some favorite rides and it was getting time for Holiday Wishes. We knew there would be no place on Main Street at this point to get a good spot, so we headed over to the bridge by Splash Mountain which has a good viewing spot. We got right up on the railing and were the only ones there until several others stopped and asked if was a good viewing spot. We told them yes, so we chatted with the adults while the kids sat and waited for the show to start. We all know that no words are necessary when it comes to Disney fireworks. I didn't take many as I really wanted to just enjoy for a change.

After the fireworks, we were going to go find a seat for the 10:30 Christmas parade. Cayley and I sent Mary, Avery (who was crashing fast) and Mark off to find a spot while Cayley and I took a ride on the wildest ride in the west:

Cayley and I had so much fun and knew the parade wouldn't be starting yet, that we went for a second ride. :thumbsup2

We found the rest of the gang over by the Hall of Presidents where they found a spot to see the parade. And I present you my not very good pictures of the parade:

Continued in next post

We could see after the parade that the girls were about done. Mary decided they were going to head back to the resort and Mark and I decided we were going to stay and try to get a few things done. We bid our farewell to Mary and the girls until the next morning, and Mark and I started off on my mission.

I love how you walk along and see things like this and it just brings a smile to your face:

Look who we saw going to his meet and greet:

We arrived at our destination:

The lines for the characters all night had been absolutely impossible. I told Mark there was one set I wanted to see if at all possible. And we got lucky; there was only one family in front of us and a CM who was having fun at the party. So we got in line and waited.

And then the four of our friends arrived:

Even without his Eeyore ears, Mark gets lots of Eeyore love

After our visit with the boys and making me happy, we headed over to try and get on the Jingle Cruise. The wait was 30 minutes and we asked if it was a "true" 30 minutes and the CM said yes. At this point, I could see Mark was fading really fast. So we decided it was time to leave.

But who can leave the MK at Christmas time without a few more pictures of the castle and photopass pictures?

It's snowing (the ONLY place I like snow):

We finally headed out, but not without a few more pictures:

Sorry...I go a little crazy with all the holiday borders. All in all, it was a great first day. We hooked up with our favorite urchins and their mother, we had a MEGA Dis Meet and we got to do quite a few favorite attractions.

Awesome updates Kathy! Great photos! I LOVED that one of Mark with Eeyore. (Eeyore is my fav!)

Kathy a really great update !!Loved all your PP pix , sooo colorful!! The Parade looked great.Yeah for getting the Character pix !!!

Ah, I love the MK at Christmas time! The Castle is so pretty! The parade is great too. And the WDW snow is much better than the stuff you guys are dealing with right now!

Awww, look at you and Cayley! That picture is worth a thousand words!

Ya'll lucked up when it came to meeting Pooh and his gang! Hardly no wait and lots of Photopass pictures. :thumbsup2

The castle looks so gorgeous with all of the lights, and Pooh and gang are adorable in their scarves. I'm excited to see the decorations in person this year!

Those pictures of the castle were just what I needed to see on this gloomy day. It was so beautiful. I wish they would leave those lights on all year.

I love all your photo pass pictures, they are fantastic! My favorite is the one with you and the boys! How special is that?

Great updates and pictures!
Ha! The only place you love snow!! So true.
Hope you are staying warm and safe today. They just cancelled school for the kids again tomorrow! They are so happy!! :)

That's the way to do it! Have a few in your family hold some spots for the parade and go for not one, but TWO rides on BTMRR! :thumbsup2 Cayley looks like she had a blast!

Sounds like everyone had a great time! Cute pictures with Pooh & gang!

oh how beautiful!!!
eeyore is my favorite. i like how you guys kinda pushed pooh outta the way!:rotfl:
the girls again are just so adorable!! all of you look so CUTE!!!

SO glad you have great neighbors!!!
i am a bit tired of snow. we have over 3 feet right now.. (i'm very close to the lake) the cold?? is kicking my tail end...
i heard we are in a state of emergency.. does that mean the city is closed?!?! that would make me a happy girl...:thumbsup2

I just love all the pictures of you and Mark. Wow - the park looks almost empty by the time you guys left, but you are still going strong - all smiles. I also love the pic of you guys with the 100 acre friends. Mark and Eeyore are getting real chummy in that one picture! :rotfl2:

Those poor girls -they must have been exhausted. When kids are ready to crash there is no stopping them!

I was in line by Dumbo to see the “Ducks” when I heard your voice saying “follow me, keep up”. I was hysterical. I called your name but you were on a mission to get on the ride so you probably did not hear me. LOl
Wow! You really went all over the park.
Pinocchio looks shocked. LOL
Love the Pooh group photo.
Looked like a fun time at the party.
It was so great to meet you and everyone who went to the meet.

I'm kind of glad that I haven't been able to follow the past 3 posts. What a great below freezing day to sit back and enjoy all of your posts and photo's. I'm loving all the borders, btw. Sounds like you had a fantastic day - a great mega dis'meet, fun on the rides, smiles all around and a great ending to the day.

Read you soon! :surfweb:

Kathy, You are a master of the Trip Reports. :worship: One of these days I might great brave enough to do one myself.

I loved the pictures with the Pooh characters. Tigger is my second favorite character. (can you guess my favorite, LOL). We did Crystal Palace for the first time in December and loved the characters... We have booked it again for June. :thumbsup2

I'm with you about snow; the only place I want to see and experience snow is when its 80 degrees on Main Street. :rotfl2: It's a whole lot more enjoyable than the blustery -9 degrees and snowing junk that is going on as I type.

Bye the way, did you notice that my signature is different below... With the latest round of discounts released by Disney we changed from the AKL to the CR-CL, doing the DxDP and added a fourth person. We are taking my late brothers 12 year old daughter (my niece) to Disney for her first visit. The dates have not changed though.

We knew there would be no place on Main Street at this point to get a good spot, so we headed over to the bridge by Splash Mountain which has a good viewing spot.

Never watched Wishes from there. You always learn something new on the DIS Boards.

After the fireworks, we were going to go find a seat for the 10:30 Christmas parade. Cayley and I sent Mary, Avery (who was crashing fast) and Mark off to find a spot while Cayley and I took a ride on the wildest ride in the west:

10:30? I think I'd be crashing too. :rolleyes1

I love how you walk along and see things like this and it just brings a smile to your face:

:thumbsup2:goodvibes

I told Mark there was one set I wanted to see if at all possible. And we got lucky; there was only one family in front of us and a CM who was having fun at the party. So we got in line and waited.

Glad you got your visits in. It wouldn't seem right if you didn't meet up with these guys.

It's snowing (the ONLY place I like snow):

Really? I wouldn't have gathered that, reading your FB feed. :rotfl2:

All in all, it was a great first day. We hooked up with our favorite urchins and their mother, we had a MEGA Dis Meet and we got to do quite a few favorite attractions.

Great day! Disney at Christmas time looks as beautiful as ever.
