Turkeys Sail the DREAM in August

Looks good and not putting the date in is also good...that said, I will probably post on other thread and them know once I get comments on this thought...

Also, Wendy...I think your time ticker is set for Thanksgiving and not for August cruise..

Chuck:

I am behind you 100% if we want to let them know... They are already a very established group.

PS: We will be in Fort Lauderdale end of February, Lindsey wants to say hello to Mason. Might to see about a breakfast on Sunday, February 27th before flight home.

You are right... We are on the Dream for Thanksgiving. I think you guys are going with us also? At least I think I heard Lisa say that. If not I may be in trouble with Lindsey.

We potentially have a staycation that weekend for Lisa's Birthday, but even if we do, I am sure we can meet for Sunday breakfast...

Chuck:cool1:

Correct..we are with your family for Thanksgiving too.

Chuck:cool1:

OK, I bit the proverbial bullet and posted on the other thread....hopefully no one will be offended.

Hey All!

I too am a refuge from the other thread. We have a small group of past cruise friends too and felt overwhelmed! Enjoy!

Found it! Hi to all. Can't wait to see everyone and meet new faces too (waves to LBDiamonds)!

Karen

Just wanted to say hello to all of you! I sailed in august with Blue Diamonds back in August 2009. Can't wait to check out the Dream and get to meet some new people. Will only be our 2nd cruise, so love stalking the threads for ideas. It will be me (JoAnn), DH (John) , DD Gillian-15, DD Allie- 12 and DS John-9

My kids are always looking to connect with others so please PM me if your kids would like to correspond with mine.

Hope you are all having a good day!

Hi all, dropping in to say hi! Can't wait to see everyone again and meet some new friends as well! Is it time to start designing our new t-shirt yet. Oh also, those magnets :dance3:

ICEMAN - Thanks for being open and upfront about this thread. I understand that you guys have cruised together and have reasons for why you started your thread.

I am posting this on all 3 threads because it seems like there are people on all of them who access the website I created for the cruise group. I just want to be upfront about everything and have it out there for everyone to see.

To those of you who are on this thread who haven't accessed the website yet, I am sorry to involve you or confuse you.

Here is what I posted on the August 16th Cruise Thread:

I will say to the whole group that I am a bit uncomfortable being in charge of our website at this point. It has nothing to do with the work. It is more to do with the fact that with all the separate threads, I feel conflicted. I have read through all of the other threads that are running. I will admit that in one of the threads, I do feel that there are offensive comments made.

I really am not sure what to do about the website at this point. In some ways I feel it should be open to everyone and in other ways, I feel like I don't feel like maintaining a site where some people feel that some of us on this thread have "sappy, sticky, sweet fakeness".

I am just being honest about it all and hope that no one is offended by that. I have always loved being a part of a group that plans a wonderful vacation together and I am just a bit baffled by how to be the keeper of the website when we have all of this going on.

That being said....I feel totally fortunate to have made such wonderful friends from our past cruise that are here with me again. I feel lucky to have "met" so many new wonderful people. I hope that this just resolves itself but for now...the website is going to sit "as is" for a couple of weeks (I am going to Disney and won't be around anyways).

I will be leaving on Tuesday for an incredible WDW vacation with Jude's family and will run the Princess Half on the 27th.

Have a great couple of weeks everyone.

Wow we got pushed back to page 3:scared1:

Rob

Rob,

I see in your signature you went on the "other" Dream, the Carnival Dream. LOL

We did it in August and loved it! No, it's not the Mickey Boat as my DD calls it! But it was great! The food blew DCL out of the water! The water park was a blast! I think DD/DH went down the slides 57 times in one day! The Chef's Steak House, was one of the best meals we ever had!!!

Yes, there were some cons, but plenty of pros! Enjoy!

We have enjoyed all of the carnival cruises that we have done:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 They are a great cruise line that some people do not give enough credit too (some still think of them as the BOOZE cruise).

Yes the steakhouse is awesome I love the fillet and lobster tail and the porter house is to die for.

We will be cruising with them again in late June on the Liberty ( it has my fish and chips/oyster bar that I love)

The water park was a blast:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 alot better than the crummy rock wall that RCCL had that seemed to never be open.

Rob

We know some people like Carnival, but we are not in that group....even though we live here in South Florida....now maybe the NCL Epic sometime, but Disney first for us.

The low down...

DH and I both work in television at the number one news network in America. Sounds like... box. We love hurricane season and track/follow storms.

We work our butts off 50 weeks a year to party REAL HARD for 2 weeks. I drink too much, smoke too much and laugh too loud. But, who cares? Life is too short and so is this cruise.

When we walk on DCL the Captains and most of crew know me by name. What does that say?! We've been sailing DCL for years. I've put a few of the waiters kids through college thanks to my bar tab and tipping.

We love WDW, but who doesn't besides Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? We go pre-cruise to make DD (9 years old) happy. She enjoys the parks and Mom and Dad enjoy getting it over with.

That's it in a nut shell.
