We're flying on Thanksgiving and staying at the POP for 3 days before we switch to CBR. Will they have a traditional meal by chance? My son is NOT happy he's missing out on turkey and pumpkin pie that day LOL!!

1) They might have a chunk of pumpkin pie.
2) But, I would not look for turkey.
3) Unless it is on a Kaiser Roll with mayo and lettuce.

I was thinking Mom's Night Out dinners might be turkey, but it lists meatloaf for Thursdays. But maybe they might change that up a bit that week? Never know........

I kept some notes from last year and actually I have down that POP did offer a traditional Thanksgiving meal. :goodvibes

It was only offered on Thanksgiving Day, and I have the menu as:

Turkey or Ham
Giblet Gravy
Cornbread stuffing
Mashed Potatoes
Sweet Potatoes
Green Beans
Cranberry relish
Slice of Pumpkin, Apple or Pecan Pie

Sorry I didn't write the prices down, but I seem to remember it seemed very reasonable. Hopefully someone else can chime in about the $$$.

The only problem is that it isn't served family style so you can't have seconds on anything

Sorry I still can't find the price of the Thanksgiving counter service meals, but there are a lot of good reviews of them, like these previous DISer posts:

We arrived at Pop Century on Thanksgiving and wouldn't you know that they were serving a meal with Turkey, gravy and all the fixins!! We all got our traditional Thanksgiving meal with no fuss and Man it was good!!

Artist's Point at SSR has a terrific counter service T-giving meal w/all the traditional elements...

We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside last Thanksgiving week, and on Thanksgiving, we had lunch at Epcot. That evening, we had the counter service Thanksgiving meal at POR Riverside Mill. It was fantastic! My boys were the ones desperate for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner and they were more than pleased with this one! I'm sure they'll do it again. We didn't know anything about it until Thanksgiving Day.

When we were there over Thanksgiving a few years ago ASMo had a Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings in their food court

Other boards had great reviews on All Star Sports Thanksgiving meal also (but darn it, no one ever mentions prices :cutie:).

I think your son will be happy with a counter service Thanksgiving. Gee it almost makes me want to tell DH "Hey let's drive over and skip all the hassel of cooking" myself

So Rusty, did you want to apologize for posting incorrect information?

I've stayed at Pop as well and as stated by Seahunt below, like all Disney resorts, they do an excellent job of celebrating the various holidays.
