Turf Club - ADR Needed?

I hope this is the right place to ask, but I'll be at THV 6th thru 12th and there has been some major worry on the theme park board over the TP crowd calendar listing the park crowds at mostly 7s and 8s that week. I was rather surprised myself. I usually don't make ADR's and only made two this trip - one for Chef Mickey's and one for Sci-Fi for my boys, otherwise, I like villa cooking and counter service with a sandwich for HOB now and then. I did want to try Turf Club this trip, but in May we would have had absolutely no trouble at any time walking right in for a dinner. I just checked the online ADR option for 6pm and none was available, I could go with 6:15pm or 6:45pm however for that day. What I'm getting at is this - is TC always crowded enough in Feb. that an ADR is needed for dining or is this week in Feb. going to be a record breaking crowd? I'm really sort of curious. If you think I should make an ADR, I'll go for it, but I was sort of hoping to just go there one night on a whim. I heard they have great food, but if it isn't worth it, tell me that too!

Make the ADR as a backup and whim other nights. That way you know for sure that you will get in.

We have tried to walk in a couple of times. Once we were told that they were fully booked. The other time they fit us in and told us to come back at 8:50.

That last week of Value season, before CRO's calendar switches to Peak, has become quite popular with the bargain hunters over the past few years.

My philosophy is that it is always better to have an ADR and not need it, than to want it and not have it. You can always cancel if you decide to do something else.

Thanks, then I think I'll go ahead and make a few more ADRs for TC and a few places I've been wanting to try. I'll make them for closer to the end of the week and that way if I happen to walk in earlier in the week, I can cancel the ressie to free up my time (or keep it if I choose to.) I'm glad I made the one for Chef Mickey's for my DS because NOTHING is available right now. My DH was itching to try Sci-fi and I'd been there so it wasn't on my list of things to do, and I never need one for HOB and I eat there at least 3 times during every trip. I LOVE that place!
