I hope that someone can help.

As a birthday gift for DH, my DD wants to re-create his favorite Magic Kingdom lunch ... Columbia Harbour House tuna sandwiches. Awww ... DD keeps telling me, "Mom, we have to buy that special kind of bread." :rotfl:

Now, I know what she means by "special" bread. I'm visualizing the Columbia Harbour House sandwich and I can almost see this bread. What is it exactly, though? Multigrain? Oatmeal? Whatever it is, it's good. I'm thinking something along the lines of Pepperidge Farm.

Does anyone know the kind of bread used at the CHH or the closest kind I can find in the grocery store? Thanks! :goodvibes

Not sure if it will be much help, but the Allearsnet.com website says the tuna sandwich is served on "a toasted multigrain bun."

That's really sweet of your daughter!

As of two weeks ago, when I ordered this sandwich, it was tuna on toasted whole grain bread -- which is what is has been forever.

I don't know if the All Ears menu is a type or if it was temporarily on a whole wheat bun in December (their menu date) or some other explanation. :confused3

Whole grain bread ... Thank you! DD keeps saying, "The crust had oatmeal on it." :)

He is right about there being oatmeal on it. Arnold makes an Oat Nut bread that seems similar. Here is a pic of the sandwich I found from google(hope it works):

Yes that's the right kind of bread - oatmeal, might have even had nuts or sunflower seeds. I've seen the same type of bread at our Whole Foods.

It's never been on a bun but always lightly toasted bread.

OP, if you find out exactly what it is, let us know. I love these sandwiches.

Thank you so much for posting a picture!!

I will look into the Arnold bread.

When I make a sandwich with Orowheat 12 Grain bread, it's like eating a sandwich made with cake instead of bread.

Hi there,

I went in 2006 and 2005 and they used a multigrain bread. It was delicous and my FAV as well. I have found recipes...menus and they say they are still using the bread.

Hope that helps:)

You're welcome! What a nice and thoughtful gift your daughter is doing for him. I'm sure he'll love anything she does, because it's the effort that's most important.
