Has anyone every done this? I just noticed it as a recreation option. Is the water clean enough if you fall in?? I know weird question but I have always heard the water isn't safe for swimming there.

Thanks!

The way I understand what I've read, the amoeba/bacteria that causes the problem only live in shallow warm water so while the issue is real I think it only applies to the water along the shoreline or up to a certain depth depending on the heat of the day.

DH & DS go jet skiing there all the time. The water is typical for a creek/lake.

Yes the amoeba only lives in a narrow temp range. So its only water around 18 inches deep at certain times of the year.

I'm pretty certain you start out in the lake.

Beware of the mind blowing bacteria!!! :crazy2::):upsidedow

My opinion, tubing is fun, but I can do that anywhere. Doesn't really interest me at Disney.
