Tube tops and Space Mountain don't mix !

What was your most embarassing momment on a Disney attraction? Mine would have to be riding on Space Mountain wearing a tube top ! Just as we finished the ride and were getting ready to pull back in to the loading area to disembark I looked dowm. My tube top was at my waist !Pulled it up just in time to 'greet' the CM's waiting to help us out. Whew ! Just then it hit me...What about those TV monitors in the rides

Thinking about the mechanics and dynamics of the attraction, I cannot offer an explanation why this would have happened. The G-forces are not vertical.

Has anything like that ever happened (even to a lesser degree) on any other attraction with that same tube top?

Got me stumped on that one!

Never. It was a first and a last . I don't wear them anymore.

Well, it never happened to me, personally, but I have seen people come off of Summit Plummet at BB w/their tops askew ... always picking wedgies out of their butts! That's a good place to get a "free show" ... if you're into that kind of thing!

Got me stumped on that one!

You forgot to take into account the bouncing and shifting of the, umm, internal structures- some settling of contents may occur during shipping

There is defintely enough drops and side to side shimmying to get the --uh desired effect.

Space mountain used to by one of my friends favorite places to work during the summer back in the early 80's.

phillybeth- I think you've explained it. The small vertical forces from the bumps and bouncing repeat often enough to cause movement of "internal structures" that would probably suffice to force the tube top down little by little. Until you pointed out the obvious, I would not have guessed it was possible.

When I went on "Small World" at the end of the ride I was naked. Somehow all my clothes were off by the end of the ride. I think one of the dolls did it without me even realizing it.

It wasn't "Please explain to me how my tube top could have come off on Space Mountain."
