Why was the name of the ride changed from WEDWay People Mover to the Tomorrowland Transit Authority?

When they "updated" and redid Tomorrowland in 1994, they changed the name of the attraction to make it seem more interesting. "Tomorrowland Transit Authority" gave it more of a flavor of being the true transportation system that transported people throughout the land. WEDway People Mover was, apparently, too "dry" -- made it seem dated and antiquated and not part of the "future."
