I have an 8:10 at Sci Fi and I'm not sure whether we want to keep it or try to get in line for TSMM. It makes it simpler that there's no JTA right now, but also means more people will head straight for TSMM, I think. Or maybe more people will just skip HS altogether.
We did an 8 AM at H&V last year (end of Feb), we were the first ones in the park and we got a little piece of paper saying it was a "magical memory" of being first in the park. I think we had gotten there at 7:15, the busses were much faster than I had guessed. We still had to wait 10 minutes to get seated at H&V even though we were the first people in the park and had an 8AM and there was no one else there. Got out of breakfast at 8:55 and the park was already full of people. I was in line for the JTA without my kids, then I had to run and get them and get back there again, so got there to sign up at 9:10, and I think our JTA time was 2:30.
My kids were little so even though H&V was not very good food, the characters there were really quick and we got through it. My kids were definitely at the age where they loved those characters and the dancing and stuff, so we suffered through the food and at least it was quick. At Sci Fi there are no characters to wait on, but it's not a buffet so we'll have to wait for the food to come out. Reports from the SW weekends are that the menu was similar and that it was good enough.
Considering all of this, if I can switch to a lunch ADR for Sci Fi I'll take it. We want to try Sci Fi since we've never eaten there, and breakfast was what I could grab so I took it.
