As the days from Glo-Con slowly accumulate, I begin to remember bits and pieces of things I don't remember mentioning in my trip reports, so I thought I would add them here.
*Nancy and I shared a dessert in France. I don't remember what it was, but there must have been a pound of powdered sugar on top of it! It was good, but if you had to sneeze, powdered sugar would go flying EVERYWHERE!!
*I will swear up and down that the left and right tracks of Space Mountain do feel similar. I think the only difference, to me, is that the left track has a drop that feels greater (read: longer) than the right side. If you can't ride in the very front, ride in the very back!
*The third lift hill of Big Thunder (inside the cave). You know that piece of track that is hanging above as you start to descend (where the huge boulder is)? I can touch that. (the piece of track, that is)
*Rock n' Rollercoaster is much better if you're singing along with Aerosmith.
*Tower of Terror has a whole different feel at night.
*why is everyone at Glo-Con cuter than I am?
*Will I ever be able to stay at a value or moderate resort again?
*The area around the Swan/Dolphin, Yacht/Beach, Boardwalk is superb and very convenient for at least 2 out of the 4 parks!! Excellent location!!!
*I was worried that I wouldn't fit in at Glo-Con. Turns out that was never a problem.
*How do they get food/supplies to Aunt Polly's on Tom Sawyer Island? By raft, or underground tunnel? Hmmmmmm...........
*The ride operator at Peter Pan was from Tampa, FL (like me). Turns out she lives in Temple Terrace, about 10-15 minutes from where I live. I wondered if she was single.
*All the people I talked to who were there for the college program made me think of AngieBelle.
*Why do I run away from characters? In EPCOT, Dale was heading towards me. If he would have started anything I would have decked him! I guess if it's not a person-character (like Belle, or Snow White, etc...) then it freaks me out.
*Did the picture of me and Belle at Princess Breakfast turn out? She was a hottie!
*When they run out of meat at the restaurants at AKL..do they take a rifle and go big game hunting out on the savannah?
*After the fireworks cruise, I got the chance to joke with a CM there. I asked him to turn down the volume of the frogs and the crickets because it was really annoying and was probably keeping the guests awake.
*Some of the Glo-Conners got to see me in my natural humourous state. Not sure if that's what they expected from me, but I did enjoy watching them laugh.
*Who designed the path layout at AK? They should be shot and all the paths should be widened. Someone screwed up big time in that department. Too many people, not enough room to get through!!!!!
*How did all these guys find such beautiful women (the Glo-Con DHs/SOs)?
*Glo is correct, the S/D cheerleaders are not thin, voluptuous, blonde women, but they are a FUN bunch of people!
*Shellie722 owns a blinking bellybutton ring, which cannot be appreciated until it's seen at night and you see this red/green blinking thing walking towards you and you can identify who it is. (how many others can claim that?)
*BT is very easy to talk to. I found this out on our trek for water on E-night. We really got to talk about a few things and I felt like I bonded with her.
*SSB was surprised at how tall I was? I thought he knew. We were, indeed the tallest people there.
*Ejigs is more quiet in person..which is probably a dangerous thing..lol.
*Probably the best thing about Glo-Con was that it felt like I was meeting old friends. When I met these people it was like I had known them for years! All the times we chat or PMed, or talked on the CB made it feel like I knew these people for years instead of since February.
*I haven't cried before, during, or after this trip (to date).
