TS credits for 10 yr old

DD is an incredibly picky eater. She is going to be 10 and so we must purchase the adult meal package for her. Is it acceptable for her to order off the kids menu and pay out of pocket and DH and I use the TS credit later? It is still an adult meal that was purchased so I don't really see the harm. Now I could see Disney having a problem if I was getting an adult meal on a child's meal plan.
Just wanted to know everyone's opinion. It wouldn't be a big deal if we couldn't do this. Don't worry. Disney's going to get our money either way!

My 10 year old eats like an adult, so I can't imagine ever having this problem. When she was 9 she complained constantly the kids meals were too small (which they are) and I ended up paying OOP for more food. Good luck!

I don't see where that would be a problem at all.

your intent is to use DDP adult TS credits for an adult in the same room, on the same dining plan, so yes, that is absolutely fine.

We did this in Aug 07 with no problem. My then 12DS is also very picky, no sauces, no beef, etc! Some places he would get a kids meal OOP, then share in the appys and dessert.

At Kona Cafe, we used a TS credit so he could get the full dessert, smoothie, etc and they just brought him an "adult" size portion of chicken fingers. So it's worth asking at places if you're interested in that.

We used the extra TS credits to do dinner at Cali Grill one night! Well worth it!

We're going back in 5 weeks on the DDP and will probably do the same thing, pay OOP some places and get "adult" size picky eater meals others! He's looking forward to going back to Kona and Cali Grill again!

We just got back from being on the DDP for 14 days. My 10yo ordered off the menu and we paid OOP at the following: Califoirnia Grill, Spoodles, Coral Reef, and Rose & Crown.
