I really think you should be able to choose a reservation to modify when searching and you find something much like waitlisting and not have to start the search via modify. But that would make too much sense to implement.

The 4 consecutive nights came back!! I got it! I did it all on my own and no points defaulted to holding. 1 night studio and 4 nights 1 bed.

Yeah. Ultimate goal was BLT but we will take BWV no problem especially since we added a day. Excited to see what all the hype is about in the Boardwalk area.

I think you'll love BWV. The pool area is fantastic, the recreation cast members are fantastic, movies on Village Green in the evenings are fantastic. It's an all around awesome resort and walking to two parks cannot be beat. I know some on here panned the refurb but I much prefer the look of the refurb compared to the older rooms.

Can't wait to hear how you like it!! So do you go from AK studio to BWV 1BD now?

Yep. 4 nights in a 1 bed. Coming home with clean clothes The 1 bed is available at AK too, but decided to keep the points and do a studio that 1st night.

Im excited to just walk the Boardwalk. Our past WDW trips have been go, go, go no resort time.

The 1 bed value is actually available and only 4 points more.. tempting but my son would be crushed if we happened to not get a view of the savanna.

Upside is this is really teaching me how the system works. I should've modified this on my own rather than calling MS.

Congrats on getting what you wanted! You can try this for next time. One way to help get the reservation when you find something is to click on the room like you're reserving it and go through the steps but don't reserve. Then call MS and let them know what you want and when they're ready you can click "back" to release the room and they will grab it. This has worked for me a number of times. I learned to get the rooms when you see it and MS can do the actual modifying that you need. Does that make sense?

Yep! I actually tried that but I may haven't went far enough into the process because it didn't work... or maybe it did work and thats why it was gone however it took awhile for me to get it again maybe an about an hour.

You can. Just add in all the resorts you are interested in after you start the modification. The first list of resorts where the one you have is checked but no others. It may feel cumbersome but it works. Just remember what you are doing.

edit: just realized you said and 'not have to start the search via modify'. I learned to embrace modify when I missed my chance a couple of times.

I stayed in that 1 bedroom value on one trip and would not do it again. It was so poky and small. I need more space.

They had a studio booked so it should be more space than that for the 3 people and it included a door to comply with DH's wishes.

I think it doesn't do this do to restrictions put in place.

i.e. You can not modify an AUL reservation to anywhere except at AUL.
VDH and VGC can be swapped for those 2 resorts only.
WDW, HHI & VB can be modified between those but not changed to AUL, VGC or VDH.

Nope but I have stayed in a studio there which is quite small so the 1 bedroom has to be bigger.
