We are Disney regulars. Both mid 50s.....kids all grown up. Most recently there over Christmas and New Years holiday. Mama says lets the two of us do a quick trip to Orlando in October, but go to Universal this time. We were there last when Harry Potter ride first opened. So my rough plan is this.....

… Sunday Oct 14 - Friday Oct 19
… buy 4 day any park tickets
… Stay at Cabana Beach hotel.

10/14 - Fly into Orlando. Check into Cabana Beach Hotel. Chill at hotel pool for the day.
10/15 - Visit parks. No Express pass. Universal's version of Park Hopper
10/16 - Visit parks. Purchase 1 day express pass if crowds and lines on day 1 show need.
10/17 - Volcano Bay. Early Day back at hotel to relax. Spend evening at City Walk
10/18 - Visit Parks. Hit favorite rides from days 1 & 2
10/19 - Fly home midday

Seem reasonable?? Any suggested modifications??

TIA

Sounds like a fun trip!

No hhn on Monday and Tuesday so you won’t see heavy crowds in the park those days
If you have the P2P tickets, just go to the other park if you find one park too crowded

Maybe you won’t need to buy the ep for Tuesday
Leave the studios park around 4 and switch to IOA and beat any crowds that might head to that park

Studios closes at 5 for the hhn ticket event

10/14- Add "Dinner at City Walk" (or late lunch or whatever). Actually depending on your touring style you could add City Walk dinner to any day. It's quite easy and convenient on the way out of the parks.

If you aren't already planning it, also add "download Universal Ap" as it is very helpful for ride waits w/o express.

Thanks for the quick replies.

Question: Are the P2P tickets good for ONE entry to every park each day or unlimited back and forth? The question arises when looking at the Hogwarts train. It takes you from one park to the other. If P2P is only good once does that mean once I hop the train in one park I’m done with that park for the day ??

You can go in and out each park as many times as you like on the same day with a park to park ticket...........:thumbsup2

Unlimited hops to each park each day. You can also go to a park in the evening after your VB day if you want.

Sounds like a great plan! The only suggestion I’d add is use some downtown to check out the other resorts. You can pool hop at UO with your hotel key and we’ve always liked visiting the other hotel pools to check them out. Portofino is really beautiful if you want a nice drink by the water, hearing music.

They are parkhoppers like Disney’s hoppers.
