Hi there,

i'm trying to picture these rides. Are they actual simulators (like sum of all thrills), or cars that actually move on a track but feel like you are somewhere different (like dinosaur):

- Forbidden Journey
- Spiderman
- Simpsons
- ET
- MIB

Are there any other rides that are an actual simulator and no actual cars moving involved?

All of these except Simpsons involve a ride vehicle moving on a track. FJ and Spiderman also include some simulated portions, where you are looking at a screen.

Jimmy Neutron, while it's there, is also a simulator or close to it, but you are in a theatre where groups of seats move in place. Shrek is somewhat similar. Both have a limited number of stationary seating.

Also want to mention that ET is like Peter Pan at Disney except the car that you sit in is bigger (three rows of four) and MIB uses a track system like Snow White (more advanced, but same basic style) but the car does spin around 360 degrees.

MIB is like Buzz Lightyear. Same "shooting" concept.

Jimmy Neutron - now only open seasonally to be replaced by a new Despicable Me ride, is a large fixed motion simulator in front of a screen (eg no track)

Forbidden journey - sort of like sum of all thrills but open fronted and also on a track at the same time, with both video and real physical scenery and effects. its not 3D (eg no need to wear glasses). You tilt back quite far, but do not go upside down

Spiderman - a motion simulator car on a track, thats also can spin 360 degrees, that passes by screens showing 3d film projection (you wear 3d glasses), and lighting/smoke/fire effects, and physical objects. This is like nothing else in the world, and one of the best experiences anywhere. You literally come off not quite knowing how they did it.

A behind the scenes vide here http://youtu.be/9rJqA4ivyQw

Simpsons - a stationary motion simulator (ie not on a track) in front of a very large imax style curved screen (same style ride system that was used for back to the future
