My questions are:
- is it even possible to get that kind of room on such short notice? Would I have better luck at another resort, or should I consider it a small miracle if we could even find availability?
- this would not allow us to take advantage of free DDP, correct? (we can't with our other discount, either, so we wouldn't be missing out)
- if something like this were possible, what should I offer to a potential renter, to show that I am honest/trustworthy (I've only been registered here a couple days, so I know that doesn't look so appealing, hehe...but I've been on TGM and MFL for years.)

Thanks in advance for any insight/tips. :thumbsup2

It is probably very unlikely that you will get either * room much past the 11 month mark. There aren't a lot of those rooms available, and the members tend to grab them up as soon as they can. It can't hurt to ask, but don't get your hopes up.

Details have been removed from this thread as seeking rental posts are not allowed anywhere but on our DVC Rent/Trade Forum. Details would be things such as dates, resort name, type of villa, points required, etc. Thank you.

Points reservations are not eligible for free dining. You have to buy a package deal directly from Disney to get free dining.

If you want to rent from a member, ask them what it takes to rent from them, see if they might deal with you, then pay them if you want the reservation. Don't tell them what you want, they check on availability, find you the reservation and then tell them you want to think about it.
