Our trip is in April. We wanted the Tomorrowland Terrace Wishes Dessert Party and tried our best to get the ADR exactly 180 days out. Well that did not happen.

Ever since then I have checked the Reservation System everyday twice a day hoping for a cancellation. It never happened - BUT I got bored the other day and tried to increase our party from 2 to a whopping 18 people, and guess what? It said it could accommodate us! Well on a whim, I started to submit requests decreasing the number in the party each time - we got down to 3, but as soon as you put in 2 - no go!

This got my attention and I called WDW Reservations to find out why. Well as it turns out, they apparently have pre-set tables for different party sizes, and Disney decided to only have ONE 2 person table - EVER for this experience. So I booked and paid for the 3 person table after getting assurances from the reservation agent that I could pay for three people and only show up with 2 and still be granted access to the party.

We now have reservations for the TLTWDP!!!!!! Woot!

So just a tip that I thought would be helpful to know if you want this experience.

As a side note - I think Disney needs to re-think this strategy - they should just set an occupancy for the experience and book till that number is reached, not pre-set table sizes. Reasoning - what happens when that 18 person table is not booked? Well that table gets no people sitting at it, and 18 people out there in the park could have enjoyed the experience - as well as lost revenue for the park.

Well that's interesting, I just tried for two and nothing, three and it worked. We're visiting in October and as I much as I enjoy the food and show, I'm not sure I'm willing to pay x3 to partake. Seems odd. Thnx for your input.

This is my first ever Disney Trip without family tagging along, so I wanted to avoid crowds. Each night is a different Fireworks display and each night I wanted reserved seating without using a FP+, so this was our only option.

If we didn't get it, it was no big deal, but we said, hey its only like 25 dollars more - which meant just one less night going out to dinner or a splurge item at walmart :)

I had the same problem when I was booking in August. I was online as soon as the booking opened 180 days out and it said there were no tables for 2. I called to see if maybe it was a computer error and the lady told me the same thing. She let me book a table for three and even refunded the cost of the third ticket.

If you say the third person is a 2 year old, you would not be charged, right? Or just call back later and remove the third person from the reservation.

I just booked a table for 2 for April last week! I did try several times, and like you said, there were always tables for more available, just not the elusive 2. I guess I got lucky that day :)

The same thing happened with me. After weeks of trying a reservation for 2 showed up. The table was small but right near the front.
