So far I'm leaning towards the following:

Garden grill-

ohana's -breakfast

1900 park fare -dinner

chef mickeys-

fantasmic package, unsure of which of the 3 restauraunts to go with.

Any recommendations for one more? Will have boys 9 & 13.

Tusker is the best character breakfast Mickey and his gang are all there even daisy. My grandson now almost 9 in Feb loves it its african looking and the characters are dressed safarish. The food is the best and the juice to almost die for ..LOL

1900 is the stepsisters and while adults will like the humor..Not so sure on the boys. We are going for dinner but his sister is 2 never been and loves anything related princess. Brother said he'd go for her..ha ha

Chef Mickeys is pretty blah food in our opinion

Whispering Canyon is fun for the boys.. decent food

Teppon Edo in Epcot is very entertaining and food is oh so yummy..

Never been to Garden Grill is it a very quiet place that the boys might not like as much as you adults?? Not sure

Sci Fi will be fun for them for sure sitting in cars and watching old time sci fi flicks. Fun atmoshere. Stick with burgers and milkshakes there they are good..Were going and were going to try the steaks and pasta this time..

Have a great time.. we leave in 13 days and its been 2 years since we have been so we are ready!!!!

We booked
Crystal palace first morning for Princess harper and her first time
Yak and Yeti in AK very good
1900 dinner
Tusker Breakfast
Konas Breakfast
Akershus last day
Teppon Edo yummmmmmmm
Via Napoli
Sci Fi dinner at park closing

If its fun you want then it has to be Whispering Canyon. Its everything a kid could wish for, and as much as you can eat. Just make sure you ask for some more ketchup ;)

We love GG. Last trip kids were 16, 13 and 9 and they enjoyed it as much as any other time.

Chef Mickey's - we do breakfast there every trip. There have been many mixed reviews here about dinner, but I have never been there other than breakfast.

Fantasmic package - great call, we also do that every trip. My only advice is to avoid H&V. One of only 2 places in WDW I will never go back to. It's the bad trifecta, food, service and cleanliness.

Some of the other suggestions are pretty good. I will add a couple of others. I don't know when you are going, but if it's in warm weather, try the Rose and Crown and time it for Illuminations, then ask for an outside table. We did it last year and it was great. Also LTT is still solid, even though there are no more characters. Kids might also enjoy 50sPTC.

Enjoy!

I love all the suggestions, & comments! This will be our family's first trip, so every thing will be a first experience, & I'm making the adr's from reviews only since we have never been to one. Does the fantasmic package take 1 or 2 credits. I'm still debating this one, because if it's 2 credits we will have to take one of the other meals away. We are going for MNSSH in October, & staying at the Contemporary. We are all so excited! I thought about adding the 50'sPTC that looks fun. Thanks! I'm off to do some more research with the new suggestions. I'd love to here more! :)

Depends on which restaurant you select. On the DDP H&V and Mama Melrose are only one TS credit. Hollywood Brown Derby is 2 (it's a signature restaurant). My recommendation would be to definitely do the F. package with Mama Melrose for either lunch or dinner.

I didn't see an Animal Kingdom restaurant on your list. Therefore my recommendations would be Tusker House breakfast if you want the character interaction and Boma breakfast (before you hit the park) if you don't. Both are delicious and different than your typical buffet (rotisserie turkey for breakfast at Boma - amazing).

I ALWAYS Recommend the Fantasmic Dining package... I've tried H&V F! dining... I'm the lone person on here that recommends it.
Didn't really care for HBD but I will give it another try. Trying MM F! Package in May.

My DS19... who considers himself a Disney fanatic...would have me tell you to take them to Teppan Edo... HIS Favorite and I've not been able to plan a trip Without Teppan Edo since he was your boys age...
Asian..Knives...FIre... what more could a Boy want ?

Will also put a plug in here for "Ohana Character Breakfast... but I've not tried the others mentioned above...

Hope you have a magical visit !

Mary
PS: DS19 even enjoys the SHOPPING in Japan... go figure... LOL (RE: Teppan Edo)

I will deffiently have to go check out Teppan Edo. I have heard a few people here recommending it. Thank you all. I really enjoy hearing well "anything" disney at this point. So I really appreciate all the info. & recommendations! :)
