Hey there Dis Fam-
I am going with my family of four- husband (chef) Son (7 years adventurous eater) and Daughter (5 and buttered noodles/chicken nuggets) to disney for spring break this spring. Wondering where to do dinner on our Disney Springs night? I went to Morimoto with my husband 3 years ago during the right after covid not fun phase and wasn't too impressed- but have heard great things lately! Also Ive always wanted to try Jaleo.... what to doooooo HALP

Never been to Morimoto but have been to Jaleo and really liked it. Not sure the kiddos would unless they have a kids menu with the basics.

I've been to both and we've had great service and food at both. Both offer tasting menus that are excellent. Both have options where you order what you want and get them family style. We have to say that if you to Jaleo ask for a table in Winnie's section she's definitely our favorite server there.

If your husband is a chef he might enjoy the chance to try Jose Andres menu, which includes dishes from some other phenomenal chefs like Ferran Adria’s spherified olives. Plus Andres is just an A+ human being. My only complaint about Jaleo was that the restaurant was arctic on the night we were there.

Two of our favorites. Morimoto's is an almost must-do for us each trip - definitely worth another try for you. But Jaleo is amazing, as well. We might try to squeeze them both in!! I agree with above - try something new, and go to Jaleo. But don't eliminate Morimoto's from a future trip! Good news is you have 2 excellent options. Enjoy!

I'd say Jaleo...but that is because I prefer that to Japanese/Asian food.

both are excellent restaurants and you won't go wrong with either. The tasting menus are the way to go. In our experience, Jaleo can be very loud, which never happens at Morimoto. But, the wine pairings at Jaleo are amazing. We did the large chef tasting (10 course) and was over 13 dishes for each of us and easily over 3 hours. Worth every bit.

I would try Jaleo. The menu is large, and I've enjoyed everything I've had from there. Morimoto is good, but not enough to justify the prices being as high as they are.

Jaleo does have a kid's menu with a hot dog and grilled cheese. Everything is meant to be shared, so son can have whatever he wants.

IMO Morimoto was not great the last time I went. Food was overpriced for meh quality. But I am biased in that I can get WAY better Asian food in less than 10 minutes from where I live.

Jaleo is one of the only restaurants I would go to if it was outside the WDW bubble. Have never had anything there that was bad.

Need to qualify my current dislike. Everything was cooked properly last time I was there. It was just kind of boring with so many interesting dishes off the menu. The dim sum brunch menu brings on another yawn.

I’ll wait until the restaurant renews its interest in bringing joy to its clientele to return.
Jaleo, on the other hand, is fully engaged.

While not the same necessarily, I used to live in Washington DC ages ago and would often go to Jaleo. It was one of my favorite restaurants. And the proprietor, Jose Andres, is one of my favorite people. If you are not familiar with his charity World Central Kitchen please look it up. So if I can I will always support Jaleo. and the food is amazing.

You are so right - we will often go to an Andres location. It's both good food and a good feeling we might be helping a little bit....
