hi I'm trying to decide between paradise pier club and grand Californian club. I know grand has rooms near downtown Disney that are loud and am wondering how noisy other rooms are. And where is the best place for someone who doesn't like loud music/noise. Do pools have music playing? Does pp get any of the dd noise/music?

We've stayed at both, and PPH was pretty quiet. Our stay at GCH was super loud and annoying. Construction below our room was unnerving to say the least. But everyone's experience is different, that's just what happened to us.

We got a room at the GCH once near Downtown Disney and the drums beating was really annoying. When I asked the desk how long does this go on they said until 10pm. I told them that it was unacceptible and they moved us to a much quieter location overlooking the courtyard. We have stayed at the GCH almost every year since they opened and the only time noise was an issue was that one time near DTD. Even the street view standard room was quiet. Courtyard was probably the most tranquil , but pool, park view, street are all quiet. No music at the pools but kiddies playing.

We have stayed at all three resort hotels and the GCH is our favorite. PP is also quiet,no pool music and gets no DTD noise. They pipe in the fireworks music on the third floor where the pool is and is a somewhat good place to watch the show. You can walk across the street and use the GCH entrance to DCA or use the GCH as a short cut to DL. If you can afford it, I recommend GCH . You cant beat the location

I'd say the Grand too. I have done the Grand club level once (a friend's amazing 50th birthday party) and we will be trying the PPH club level in about 2 months. The fact that it closes at 8 pm does not thrill me but the Grand club level is way out of my price range.

Having just returned from an 8 day PPH club level TPV stay I would go with the Grand. Club level CM's were either amazing or mediocre at best. There was no in between. It is quiet; the theme park view was amazing. I never had an issue with the elevators and it was nice to have the bar downstairs open until midnight. But I had several issues with my room. I've always been a huge fan of PPH but after this stay I will never book it again.
