Trying to buy stuff

I am a newbie to VMK. I don't know anything!!! and I mean anything!!! I am trying to buy one of those Stitch hats. I read you have to go into a store and collect their catalog. I have been to the stores via the Emporium but I am not able to buy anything. What am I doing wrong? Anybody? help please!

the stitch hat is only available by booking a trip to DLR online (so booking a real trip)... other than that you have to trade for it...

To shop you go to the store and click on the cash registers- that will give you all items available after you go to all the stores you can then shop from anywhere- but specials will only show up if you are in that store...

Look at the VMK players guide in a sticky at the top of this page- it will give you tons of information on playing vmk and is the best place to go for any new players.

Thanks for the info on the hat. I love Stitch (big surprise, I know!).

I have been to all the shops through the Emporium and clicked on the cash registers. Where do I go from there? I then clicked on my shop button but I don't see those shops added. Am I doing something wrong? Should I be looking somewhere else? I went to VMK Central and got a camera and film. I have figured out how to buy some things. Any help would be great!
