trying to book 2nd room at pop- 2/3-2/10. Going to happen or forget it?

We are a family of 5 going for our first stay at pop the first week of feb. (mom, dad, twins 8, and little one turning 3 during the trip who sleeps in a pack n play). We usually stay at the Grand Floridian but want to stay longer this time so we are going with the pop this visit. I shoulda booked two rooms when we made the reservations but didn't and now they don't have a second/connecting room available.

in your experience, should I keep trying to get it? do i keep trying before we go? do i try at check in? or is it just not going to happen?

any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I think we are already inside the 45-day window, so you won't likely catch any package cancellations. You can hope to catch some room-only cancellations at the 5-day window. So, possible, but with the new day-by-day resort rates, this last full week of Value season is really busy.

you may want to try other websites... i was unable to book a room at CBR last summer no matter how i tried (calling, TA, disney website, etc) and even expedia and travelocity showed no availability... but www.lastminutetravel.com had a room for me... i paid rack rate, but it was worth it to have the add'l space!

I booked a package at POP wed after new years for feb 10th - 15th... why those dates... those were the only days where they had an open room (as in one)
