Try BW out?

I have an opportunity to stay marathon week at a discounted rate at the Boardwalk. Would be a cash stay and a significant savings (less than 1/2 of rack rate). We currently have booked a later week in January at BLT using our points. It's one week or the other, we won't go both. We have no interest in the marathon or any crowds that go along with it and will probably spend most of our time at MK. Looking for input on marathon week and the boardwalk. Should I save my points and go for a very good cash rate at the BW?

As long as you are not buying an RCI trade. That's the only way I could see it being so cheap. RCI trades are not permitted to be sold and can be cancelled if they are rented out for cash.

I would save my points so long as the rate is legit. $200/$250 a night is awesome!

I'd probably go with BLT and points, but I hate spending $$$ when I have points, LOL.

You said you will spend most of your time at the MK. IMO, nothing beats a short 10 minute walk to the MK. From the BWV, you will take a bus to the MK and will need a minimum of 30 minutes to reach the MK turnstiles. (Most times, it will be closer to 45-60). BWV generally share a bus with the Swan & Dolphin resorts.

I LOVE the BWV and stay there almost exclusively, but we spend the bulk of our time at EPCOT and DHS.

Hey, thanks for the responses. I thought this post was dead. Decided to go with the boardwalk stay, but will supplement with a few nights at BLT afterwards.
