Per the normal tradition, yes he will be included. The hall will go under refurb starting in January and ending June 29, 2017 for the installation of the newest Presidential Audio-Anamatronic.

July 4th actually.

Hope Disney didn't try and get a head start based on the polling info......

Think too Trump will be a little more challenging animatronic as he is much more expressive with his face and body.

Disney already started creating the animatronic before the election ended. They start with the body which takes a while to make. The face would be the last part depending on who won the election.

It makes sense. Build the skeleton first. Everyone has a skeleton.

Wouldnt they just transfer Obama's head to a new static animatronic. it seems only the current president us fully functional.

Would he have to record dialogue as well? I haven't been in there since before Obama was added and can't remember if the latest president speaks.

That is not usually how it works. The rest of the presidents aren't static either. If you watch them they make movements to appear realistic.

The latest president does usually speak in some fashion.

We went specifically this trip to see Obama speak. The Obama animatronic definitely spoke. I'm pretty sure it's always been Lincoln, Washington and the current President going back many, many years - and I'm sure that's not going to change - Disney should stay politically neutral on this and allow the President to record an audio track if he wishes. (Theme park goers can then make the choice of whether they can stomach seeing him there.)

I don't think the animatronics really look like the real person. Get Madam Tussauds to build it!!!

Per the article they started giving the current president a speaking role with Bill Clinton- I don't think it would be right for Trump to be the first since to not get one but I could see Disney being worried about the reaction. My guess is they give him one but keep it a bit shorter

I agree - the modern Presidents I wouldn't even recognize if they didn't say who they were. G.W. Bush was especially bad.

The only president to speak when the attraction opened was Lincoln. When we moved from Florida in 1996(?), Lincoln was still the only one to speak. Don't know when Washington started.

Agreed. HOP is a historical attraction and it would be in bad taste if Disney moved away from tradition because of any political leaning. Remaining neutral in the interest of continuity would be their best bet. After all, what would it say about a company that has been renown for its inclusiveness to exclude this? Say what you want about the president elect, politics aside this is a historic election and should have its propper representation.

Alas, in the end Disney can always do whatever they want.

As mentioned in today's earnings call Bob Iger said the Trump AA is nearly complete.
