July 4th actually.Per the normal tradition, yes he will be included. The hall will go under refurb starting in January and ending June 29, 2017 for the installation of the newest Presidential Audio-Anamatronic.
July 4th actually.
It wasn't but the HUB is now listing it as July 4th.That's news to me - I thought the article I saw said June 30th. Thanks for fixing that!
Disney already started creating the animatronic before the election ended. They start with the body which takes a while to make. The face would be the last part depending on who won the election.Hope Disney didn't try and get a head start based on the polling info......
Think too Trump will be a little more challenging animatronic as he is much more expressive with his face and body.

That is not usually how it works. The rest of the presidents aren't static either. If you watch them they make movements to appear realistic.Wouldnt they just transfer Obama's head to a new static animatronic. it seems only the current president us fully functional.
The latest president does usually speak in some fashion.Would he have to record dialogue as well? I haven't been in there since before Obama was added and can't remember if the latest president speaks.
I don't think the animatronics really look like the real person. Get Madam Tussauds to build it!!!

Except Olaf.It makes sense. Build the skeleton first. Everyone has a skeleton.
The only president to speak when the attraction opened was Lincoln. When we moved from Florida in 1996(?), Lincoln was still the only one to speak. Don't know when Washington started. We went specifically this trip to see Obama speak. The Obama animatronic definitely spoke. I'm pretty sure it's always been Lincoln, Washington and the current President going back many, many years - and I'm sure that's not going to change - Disney should stay politically neutral on this and allow the President to record an audio track if he wishes. (Theme park goers can then make the choice of whether they can stomach seeing him there.)
