Trouble rescheduling FP+ times - Any advice?

I am trying to schedule 3 after dinner fastpasses for a MK day in March. Right now I have Under The Sea booked between 8-9pm and Peter Pan's Flight between 9:15-10:15pm. The system will not allow me to book a third fastpass anytime later than 4-5pm. I have played around with a number of different attractions and they're all the same - the last possible time slot is 4-5pm.
I called Disney and the agent I spoke to played around with the system a bit as well with the same result. She suggested it was some kind of glitch and suggested I go to a FP+ kiosk on the actual day and they should be able to sort it out for me.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has encountered the same problem and, if so, if you found away around it.

Cancel what you have.

Then, have the system offer you 3 new FP+ choices.

Then, make changes in the attractions and/or times.

They want you there for dinner??? :confused3

Just kidding - this is an interesting wrinkle...

Just to add to this wrinkle, the system currently has me booked for 4 fastpasses. I have been playing around with rescheduling the times and it has failed to delete one of my times after a new time was chosen. I have logged in and out on both the app and the website and the fourth time is still there.

That situation is so common (so very, VERY common) that it could be listed as
a "feature" of MDE.
There are many guests who have one or more of these
"Ghost FP+" and even intervention by Disney IT is usually ineffective in their removal.
Even though the old ("replaced") FP+ are still showing up on the list,
the old FP+ are not valid for use at the parks.

Definitely try to fix it now. I had this happen to us every day of our October trip. The FP+ kiosk couldn't do anything other than the MDE site can. Eventually a CM had to override our account. After one day of this we just gave up.

OP, MK probably closes at 11:00 pm so there is no room to put a 1 hr selection window after your 9:15-10:15 slot. As for earlier, do you have an ADR? They won't give you FP+ selections for 2 hrs after an ADR. You may have to scrap what you have and start over to get rid of the 9:15 slot so you can squeeze 2 selections between 9:00 and park closing.

I agree. I think you are hitting the park closing limit and 2 hour wait to book time after ADR. Earlier this month time control was working like this (not saying it is exactly like this now because things change): FP+ time has to be 1 hr before and 2 hrs after ADR time. So, if you have a 6PM ADR, you could get 4-5 at the latest before ADR and 8-9 at the earliest after. If your ADR is after 6:00 (say 6:15) and park closes at 11:00, you can't fit 3 in after since he first available time would be 8:15, then 9:15 and then you can't get a 10:15-11:15 time since park closes at 11:00. An exception would be if you maybe get a MSEP FP+ since they don't book a full hour. Then you could book 3 maybe if time of MSEP works right.

What I found is that you can work around these controls if you book FP+ first and then ADR. The controls only worked for FP+ booking not in the reverse for ADR booking if you did FP+ times before ADR. The obvious issue with that is that ADR can be done 180 days out but FP+ 60 days.

I find the ADR "blocked" times interesting since we were able to get FP+ for Rapunzel 9:05-10:05 and Enchanted Tales 10:55-11:55 when we have a 10:15 ADR at CRT. These were the FP+ times offered by the system not modified

I just now was able to make an 11:00 am FP+ for Buzz when we have a 10:45 ADR at Chef Mickey; however, when I tried to move one of the other FP+ reservation for that day it would not show me any times until 12:45 (or the 2 hours that have been mentioned). I cancelled all of these already since we aren't going to the parks that day at all.

Therefore, it appears that the system will give you a FP+ time conflicting with an existing ADR time but will not allow you to modify a FP+ reservation to a time within the 2 hour window.

How odd...

Curious if canceling & starting over would help me? Scared though... Going to AK in 37 days. Made FP+ selections on 60 day mark. Decided I wanted to move my KS FP+ time. Have tried for over two weeks and no luck. System keeps saying no alternate time slots available for KS. Surprising bc the park crowds are predicted to be a 3 that day by TP & low on every other crowd prediction calendar I can find. Weird.

*scared to delete my EE to try & swap my KS*

The blocking times out for FP+ and ADRs drives me nuts. Perhaps I want to see what is available so I can them move my FP. I noticed that as I've played w/ the system and thought perhaps it was just coincidence (almost posted even) but I guess it really does that.

We have AP after our last trip so I have been playing with FPP times now to see how to plan our ADRs for upcoming June trip. I noticed that the first pick that the system does for you would not take into consideration scheduled ADRs at all. So maybe at least one or two FPP chosen by the system initially you could keep. If breakfast is pre-park opening, 2 hour rule after ADR with changing FPP times does not apply (you can have breakfast at 8:30 and chose FPP between 9-10 AM). To get around dinner ADR times I used my husband's account who is not on our ADRs (I do not have specific people on our ADRs, just generic "adult"). I chose and changed FPP for our desired times for 3 people instead of 4 (DH, DD,DD). The system will allow for that since those 3 people are not on ADRs. After that I copied those FPP to my name and it did not give me any problems. Aftrwards once you have your FPP scheduled, you can change generic "adults" on your ADRs to your family if you want - it does not affect ADR. The only situation it may not work is CRT or any other prepaid ADR since there you have to give actual names instead of just "adult". Hopefully that helps you.

I will get to book FP+ on Sunday for the first time and I am very annoyed/apprehensive about this ADR issue. I have some primo ADRs that I can not cancel in order to book the FP+. Grrrr! The one thing I was thinking FP+ would be useful for, nighttime rides, and it's sounding like that's going to be difficult.

Gee. What's not to like about this new system? :lmao:

Thanks for all of the info! Cancelling everything and starting from scratch has Robo suggested has worked. Bizarre! The 4th fastpass is still there but it's good to know I can't use it (I totally would have tried)!!!

This is why I keep hesitating on buying my tickets ahead of time - if I need to get them 'fixed' (potentially) at a FP+ kiosk on the day of what is the big benefit of pre-booking?

The obvious problem with your workaround is that the ADRs are precious and you can't wait 60 days out to book the nicer restaurants or you won't get in.

So is there really no solution to this? We are going in June on the DXDP and have our ADRs booked. Am I now not going to be able to schedule FP+ when I want? We have a ressie at Brown Derby for 5:20. I wanted to do FP+ for TSMM from 4-5, knowing I can get in line for our TSMM FP+ at 4:30 and make it easily to our ADR. Am I to understand that I have to do 3:20-4:20? So if i get in line at 4:15, ride and finish around 4:30, I now have 50 minutes to be in limbo before my ADR?

If what I just wrote is accurate, this is an even bigger travesty than being limited to 3 FP+ or the tiering - how utterly restrictive and limiting!

In the language of Disney, limbo time=shopping time;)

I predict FP+ will have a detrimental effect on sale of the DXDP.

good point - i am already considering switching to the regular DP and doing CS for lunches now. We are just one small family and that is $1500 less that disney will see from us.
