I can't seem to log-in to Disneyworld.com to check on my vacation itinerary.....is the site having trouble or is it just me?

I was trying to get on Disney Shopping and they said it was being updated. They might be doing some overall update

I can't get in either. Do you think yesterday may have something to do with this? :confused3

That's what I was thinking. I was trying to retrieve my ressie to make sure it is still valid :teeth:

What happened yesterday?

Nobody is talking about yesterday. I saw the threads were locked. Are we allowed to mention it??????

Please please please!! What happened yesterday?! Someone PM me if you don't want to post...we get there a week from today...do I need to reconfirm that everything is still in their system?

Disney started there "Year of a million Dreams" early on the website and was offering a "special" rate at one of hotels :goodvibes

At least thats what I like to tell myself :rotfl2:

The Disney site had a HUGE glitch yesterday. The room rates were wrong and people were booking them up. We could have got a garden suite and 3 base tickets for $217. Disney shut it down but alot of people were able to book it, so I don't know what will happen now.

I do...now this thread will get locked too. :lmao:

Tried to log in this morning and it was not working.

This is exactly what I was thinking.....well, I might not get a suite, but at least I don't have a computer virus! Unless that is my punishment for booking it! :rotfl:

The threads were locked and although some people posting were very upset, I didn't notice arguing, abusiveness or anything of that sort in them. Maybe the moderators felt it was just a matter of time before they would go in that direction and decided to nip it in the bud. I hope the subject was not censored.

Or maybe common sense indicates that the threads were locked because posting about the glitch may have violated the DIS guidelines, not to mention the unethical viewpoint in taking advantage of Disney.

Personally, I was really disappointed in a number of posters and how they were responding to it. As my children would say, "Not very cool Mom."

Noone knows it was a glitch.

Well, considering how Disney has always handled codes in the past and has always been very public in sharing them, it really isn't Disney's style to just throw something up on their website like that.

And if you want to use the "Year of a Million Dreams" reasoning, then I think its an attempt to grasp at straws. I think someone's conscience would know that, too.

This is not the first time that Dis members have posted threads like this, though....which may be why people are getting confused. I can clearly remember about a DTD resort having a glitch in their system where rooms were for like $1 a night or something like that...and people were snatching them up before the website was corrected. Threads like that haven't been closed in the past.

I can understand what you're saying, but I can also see how this could be confusing to others since I haven't seen similar threads being locked. However, obviously I don't know why the moderators made the decision they did...since I didn't even know about these locked threads until now. They obviously knew what they were doing.

Ahhh, that explains it. I couldn't log in either today. At first I thought I typed my password in wrong. I hope they fix it soon. My DH still needs to make his reservations with DME for his arrival on 10/21.
