I noticed on a few of the past Navigators that on Tropical night (looks like Tuesday) that there is a deck party, as well as activities listed for teens and younger kids. Is the deck party strictly an adult party (I noticed some activities are strictly marked adult only), or can kids come up for a while for the excitement?

thanks... Paul

The Tropicalifragilisticexpialidosious Deck Party is indeed open to EVERYONE!!!! When we were there, people from ages 1 to 80 were up dancing and having a BLAST. The characters usually make an appearance as well as the cast from the Disney shows. It was a LOT of fun!

There is a wonderful glow-in-the-dark party for kids ages 8-12. We had 4 kids 8, 10, 10, 12 and they all had a ball at that! The adults were on deck dancing away!

I believe that this is only on the 7day eastern cruise. It is usually on the night you leave St. Marteen. On the 7 day western it is a mexican themed party. Open to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

There is also a tropical deck party on the 3 day. It was on the Nassau night 10:00-12:00 at midship. There is alot of singing and dancing!! It was alot of fun. It is on deck 9 midship at the Goofy pool. Also, the fruit and dessert buffet is at 11pm. I know this doesn't answer about the 4 day, but maybe since it is on the 3 day it makes sense to have it on all of the cruises.

We loved the tropical night but it starts soooooooo late. Both of my kids were so tired and went to bed. If only they could find a way to start it earlier!!!

According to the Navigators, it is also on the 4 day cruise starting at 10:00 pm with the late nite buffet at 11. I believe it coincided with the Nassau port departure which is at 11:00PM.

We cruise on the Wonder Oct 13th 4 day cruise with a day at sea. This will be our first Disney cruise and can't wait.

Only 8 more days to go.

Yes they do have it on the 4 day cruise, atleast when we were on the Wonder in July they did! Even my DD14 month old was dancing her diaper off! :p It was alot of fun!

Thanks for sharing, that was really cool!!!:bounce: :bounce:

Wish it was Wed night on the Eastern. Then we'd have Thurs morn to sleep in being a sea day. It's tough to get up for 6am St Thomas immigration after being up late the night before. And who wants to miss Tropical night? Certainly not me

If I remember correctly on the 7 day at least there was a 'family' tropical party earlier in the evening- between the dinner times I believe. We went to Palos that night and DD went to the party with our tablemates:D . DH and I then met up with them for dessert at dinner(we had late seating).

What is the difference/ is there a difference between the tropicalifragilisticexpialidosious deck party and the mexicalifragilistic deck party? Are they on both the eastern & western cruises? Do people dress differently for both parties?

thanks

The tropical... is on the eastern the mexical... is on the western. People just wear festive 'island' clothes.
