Tropical Dreams, Mermaid Food, and Wishes on Wheels Oh My! 1st PTR

BIG SMUSHY :grouphug:!!! I can't concentrate for more than a minute at a time right now, but I will respond to each of you dear hearts :lovestruc very soon. Also have any of you ever tried deluxe DDP? :scared1: I'm totally considering it, and even talked to Pete about adding it. ::yes::

I haven't done the deluxe DDP myself but I've read other reports from people who have.
Basically it's a case of YMMV. Some have said that it's way too much food. Others have said they would only do deluxe. Look at what you get, decide what you want and don't worry about it.

IMHO

We haven't don't the DDP either but pretty much have decided on it for our next trip also, just because we want to try as many Sig. Restaurants as we can. We had "free" QS plan on our last trip and loved the freedom of the DP. Now if they had a DDP that included adult beverages that would be marvelous. :teeth:

Nope, not done ANY Dining Plan. We just aren't big eaters at all, and everyone has to do it or none. We'd never get our money's worth, but I think it really depends on each family and their eating habits. :) Hope you're feeling better each day, Sweetie!

Just found your trip report and coming out from lurking to say "Hi" and now I want to rewatch all the disney movies. My little is only 4 though so no superhero action flicks for us. I feel I have failed as a mother because she hasn't seen Cinderella yet, but I am like you , I have been dismissing it, but your review that you liked it makes me think that I need to give it shot. I can't get though Dumbo without crying since becoming a parent.
thanks for writing, I enjoy this on my lunch break.

Okay so the Deluxe dining plan was just a silly idea for us. We eat a bit of bread, cheese, and fruit in the morning then eat about 2 other meals a day. Looks like it would be great fun on longer vacations though! :)

I revised my birthday restaurant lol as Narcoossee's gets pretty rave reviews. Since we're doing 2 signature restaurants this time (if we can get ADRs i mean) then we'll be paying for Sci-Fi and Sanaa, as well as Trader Sam's. We usually eat mainly veggie at home, but this trip we'll have 9 meals (plus whatever breakfast is) that are vegetarian and possibly up to 6 meals pescatarian- but there are still vegetarian options on the menu. Everyone in the house likes this revised plan so now just have to waaaaaaaiiiitttt to put it into action! ;)

We have been talking about our Disney World trip every day lately, which I really love! The package deals come out soon, and I just hope there is not too much of a price increase for dining plan. *hope hope*

The weather is beautiful here, and I hope to get out in it before the end of June. :)
Think I've been stuck in bed too much...

Please forgive the oddity that is my typing as my people skills are even more awkward than usual. ;) *hugs*
p.s. off to answer the posts you lovelies have made... <3

What is your most favorite restaurant at Walt Disney World? Why? Do you go there every time you're in the World?

I agree about the DDDP we very rarely do "breakfast" beyond cereal or fruit! So for the same reason we thought it wouldn't be worth it.

So excited for you birthday dinner at Narcoossee's. I have only been once I was a kid but I remember loving watching the Electric Water Pageant from the restaurant.

I'm sorry you've been stuck in bed lately that's never fun (unless it is...;)) if I makes you feel any better the weather here sucks :sad2: I got caught in a freezing rain storm today. Anybody tell the British weather its meant to be summer? Nope, guess not! :rotfl2:

You are never awkward buddy! You are a shiny, glittery star! :goodvibes

My favourite restaurant ever at WDW has to be Fulton's Crab House. Best surf and turf EVER....of course if you are going veggie maybe not the best choice...:lmao:

Hugs! :grouphug:

CLUELESS YES :)

Really, the only place I HAVE to eat at WDW every single trip is Les Halles in EPCOT in France. I must get a croissant and sit in the little outdoor cafe area. MUST DO THIS. I...don't know why. I really like croissants. I really like eating outdoors. It just means EPCOT to me, I guess.

Don't ever apologize for being the amazing, wonderful person that you are.
Or I'll put you over my knee.

That is if I can get Lu to move over.

Sorry, I just haven't been to enough to really help here.
I've only been to four on your list. None high end.

Great plan....how did you do that little selection windown thing with the drop down menus? Was that on a website somewhere?

My fave restaurant...It's really hard to say because I have done so few sit down TS meals at WDW. Went to Boma a few years ago and remember it being good. Loved BOG lunch....had O'hana breakfast a few years ago too and loved that...I actually have loved all the restaurants I've tried except for Chef Mickey's. And even that I'm sure would have been ok for breakfast and we went for dinner and we felt gross after. Probably just me...but I'm a bit leary of dinner buffets...breakfast is a bit harder to mess up. Oh and I loved Hoop De Do revue too :)

Oohmygosh I'm so excited for 2016 packages to come out! I know we have a long way to wait but it seems like as soon as you get your package booked you're really going to go!! :)
I'm sorry I don't have any input at all on dining. Our last trip we only did QS, since we were only in the parks for a quick 2 days before the cruise, but we did manage BOG for lunch. I liked it quite a lot but DH thought it was just ok.

Narcoossee's is on my list also! It looks amazing. We don't get good seafood here at all so we are excited to try it.

Sorry you've been stuck inside while the sun is shining:sunny:i hope you start feeling better soon! My DH and I will be up your way in Sept. For a class. I'm excited.
Be well :flower1:

Must-Do's for me: Ohana dinner, and Boma (I alternate between breakfast and dinner each year). OM NOM NOM! :D

2 days until 2016 bookings! Can't wait to lock down my October 2016 trip! :cutie:

Yum! Do you listen to or follow the Disney Hipsters blog/podcast? They are both vegetarians, and I was so surprised to hear that Biergarten is a good spot for vegetarians. It seems so unlikely!

They've also said that Crystal Palace (lunch, at least) is a surprising spot for a lot of diverse vegetarian options!

Not a bad restaurant list. I mean you can't really go wrong with any of the restaurants at Disney World though.

Via Napoli.

Because, pizza.

Hmmmm... favorite restaurant? So many left to try, but of the ones I have:

Brown Derby wins for theming/ambiance

California Grill for food and service

Hoop for Entertainment (duh)

Casey's for nostalgia and the grab-and-go factor

But I do anticipate some brand new favorites on my upcoming trip. My plan is to really only repeat if I HAVE to, and I haven't tried a place yet, that I'm dying to go back to before I try new places... (The CG is one I'd go back to, though)

The new place in Disney Springs opening next year called The Edison is DEEEEEEEEFINITELY at the VERY top of my list!!

The Flying Fish will be my Graduation Celebration Dinner (comes highly recommended by many)

and Via, because as Andy said... pizza.

Pinch me I'm dreaming... Ouch not so hard! This happened yesterday after a terribly tense moment of a phone conversation- that turned into a superlovelyawesomeamazing conversation... It seems I had my room only reservation for a Villa  , and while I have nothing at all against Villas it was for a non- accessible Villa! *le sigh* lol. For the first time in

umm.

It feels so REAL now! I mean it was real before, but it was a room only, now we can actually plan this properly!
*hugs hugs hugs* to each of you! <3
